Introduction
The Institute of Environmental Science, Engineering and Management was established on December 1, 2006 under Decision No. 2206/QĐ-ĐHCN dated November 20, 2006 issued by the Rector of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

To become a reputable training and research institution in Vietnam in the field of environmental science and technology with an application‑oriented approach, comparable to advanced institutions in Southeast Asia in training, scientific research, and technology transfer.

The Institute of Environmental Science, Engineering and Management is a reputable institution for education, scientific research, and technology transfer. The Institute provides highly qualified human resources with professional expertise and practical skills in environmental technology, environmental resource management, and environmental science, contributing to sustainable socio‑economic development and global environmental protection.
Institute Objectives
By 2020:
- The Institute has 14 PhD holders and 5 Associate Professors.
- There are 2 doctoral training programs and 4 undergraduate programs.
- Complete international projects such as BIORIST (Germany), RENEWABLE (Belgium), and BOD (Belgium).
- Register three additional international projects, prioritizing international cooperation in education (ERASMUS programs of the European Union).
- Implement research projects funded by NAFOSTED.
- Increase the number of ISI and SCOPUS indexed publications annually.
- Publish academic textbooks annually to support training.
- Strategically invest in several advanced research laboratories funded by the World Bank.
By 2025:
- The Institute has 20 PhD holders, 7 Associate Professors, and 2 Professors.
- Develop doctoral training partnerships with reputable universities in Europe, Australia, and the United States.
- Develop at least 5 undergraduate programs.
- Complete at least 5 international research projects.
- Implement at least 3 research projects funded by NAFOSTED.
- Publish at least 10 ISI/SCOPUS indexed papers annually.
- Publish specialized academic books and English-language textbooks.
