Introduction
The Office of Organization and Administration of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) was established on January 11, 2005, under Decision No. 06/QĐ-TCHC, based on the merger of the Office of Organization and Administration of Technical Worker School No. 4 and the Office of Organization and Administration of Industrial College IV. Since its establishment, the Office of Organization and Administration has maintained a stable development process closely associated with the more than 60-year history of formation and development of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.Functions
The Office advises the Rector on organizational management, structural planning, and the consolidation of the University’s administrative system; personnel arrangement and utilization; training and professional development for staff, lecturers, and employees; and the implementation of policies and regulations of the Party and the State for civil servants and employees working at the University.Responsibilities
- Organizational and Personnel Affairs: Advise the Rector on organizational structure and personnel management; propose plans for recruitment, personnel allocation, training, professional development, and promotion of civil servants and employees in accordance with established standards; and implement policies related to commendation, disciplinary measures, and employee benefits in accordance with regulations.
- Administrative and General Affairs:Coordinate and connect the activities of units across the University under the direction of the Board of Rectors; prepare the University’s work schedule; receive and issue official documents and correspondence; receive and distribute mail and parcels for staff, lecturers, employees, and students; issue staff certificates, letters of introduction, and travel documents; manage and coordinate the use of transportation within the University; and prepare statistical reports, periodic reviews, and overall summaries of the University’s activities.
- Internal Political Security: Implement tasks related to political security and internal protection, civil defense, national defense, occupational safety, and fire prevention and control; handle internal and external affairs of the University; and ensure working conditions and support services for the University’s leadership.
- Records and Archives Management: Manage and use the University’s official seal in accordance with legal regulations; manage and archive incoming and outgoing documents in accordance with state regulations on records and archives; manage personnel records of staff and employees; ensure secure storage of documents related to organizational and personnel affairs; and manage and archive decisions, announcements, and other related documents..
- Protocol, Reception, and External Relations: Receive and welcome delegations and guests visiting the University; and prepare and provide services for conferences, seminars, meetings, receptions, and official events of the University leadership.
