Introduction
The Student Association of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is a member organization directly under the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City. It was formerly the Student Association of Industrial College IV under the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City, established according to Decision No. 23-QĐ/TƯHSV dated June 11, 2004 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association. It was later renamed the Student Association of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City under the Vietnam Student Association of Ho Chi Minh City according to Decision No. 93-QĐ/TƯHSV dated September 12, 2005 of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Student Association.
Functions and Responsibilities
The Student Association of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City performs the functions and duties of a Vietnam Student Association organization within a university as prescribed in the Charter of the Vietnam Student Association, while also undertaking specific tasks directed by the Secretariat of the Ho Chi Minh City Student Association, the Party Committee, and the University Board of Management. The main functions and responsibilities of the Student Association of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City include:- Unite, encourage, and support student members in learning and self-improvement, helping them fulfill their responsibilities as students and contributing to the development of a strong university.
- Educate student members on ideals, traditions, ethics, lifestyle, and legal awareness.
- Represent and reflect the needs and aspirations of students; participate in proposing policies and initiatives related to students. Organize practical activities to improve students’ material and spiritual life and protect the legitimate rights and interests of student members and the Student Association.
- Promote solidarity and develop cooperative and friendly relations with student and youth organizations and progressive people around the world for peace, national independence, democracy, and social progress.
