Functions
a) Research and development of science and technology; design and manufacture of equipment in the fields of mechanical engineering, thermal and refrigeration engineering, automation, energy and energy auditing, preservation technology, environmental technology, biotechnology, safety engineering and occupational safety, and fire and explosion prevention.
b) Pilot production, experimentation, technology transfer, and production and business of products derived from research results and new technical applications.
c) Science and technology services:
- Consulting, design, supply, and installation of wastewater treatment systems, water supply systems, exhaust gas treatment systems, solid waste treatment systems, and hazardous waste treatment.
- Consulting on bidding, investment consulting, design consulting, supply and installation, maintenance and repair; training and professional development; appraisal and preparation of investment projects in registered fields.
d) Domestic and international cooperation in registered fields.
Duties
- Research and development of science and technology; design and manufacture of equipment in the fields of mechanical engineering, refrigeration engineering, automation, energy and energy auditing, preservation technology, environmental technology, biotechnology, safety engineering and occupational safety, and fire and explosion prevention.
- Pilot production, experimentation, technology transfer, and production and commercialization of products derived from research results and new technical applications.
- Design, cost estimation, and manufacturing of automation equipment, industrial machinery, agricultural equipment, preservation technology systems, environmental technology equipment, biotechnology equipment, and equipment serving industrial works, electromechanical systems, processing industries, clean water systems, rural environmental sanitation, and irrigation.
- Design, cost estimation, manufacturing, supply, and installation of wastewater treatment systems, water supply systems, industrial dust treatment systems, equipment for agriculture, forestry, fisheries, and food industries, energy and energy auditing equipment, ventilation equipment, exhaust gas treatment systems, solid waste treatment systems, and hazardous waste treatment systems.
- Consulting on preparation of investment projects, appraisal of investment projects, appraisal of technical designs and cost estimates, bidding consulting, investment consulting, and construction supervision for projects in registered fields.
- Training, retraining, professional development, short-term technical training for technicians, retraining and advanced technical worker training according to national standards and according to the needs of enterprises inside and outside the sector; providing technical training for technology transfer in registered fields. Participate in teaching courses according to short-term training programs in cooperation with faculties, institutes, departments, and centers of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
- Implement technology and equipment transfer into production for localities.
- Publish, promote, introduce, transfer, and license scientific and technological results in accordance with the Press Law, Publishing Law, and other regulations of Vietnamese law.
- Perform other tasks assigned by the University Board of Management.
