Introduction
The Trade Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is a socio‑political organization within the University and a member of the Vietnam Industry and Trade Union system. Under the leadership of the Party Committee, the University Trade Union has coordinated with the Board of Management to care for the well‑being of staff, lecturers, and employees, encouraging them to overcome difficulties and challenges and strive to successfully accomplish the assigned political tasks.
Functions and Responsibilities
The University Trade Union represents staff members, lecturers, and employees (collectively referred to as workers). It coordinates with the Board of Management to care for and protect the legitimate rights and interests of employees; participates in inspection, supervision, and monitoring activities within the University; and encourages employees to improve their qualifications and professional skills, fulfill their duties effectively, comply with the law, and contribute to the construction and protection of the nation.Members and Organization
The Trade Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City currently has 1,346 members, including 635 women, organized into 42 union groups, including those at the Quang Ngai Branch and the Thanh Hoa Campus. The Executive Committee for the 16th term (2023–2028) consists of 9 members, including a Standing Committee of 3 members. Trade Union officials are enthusiastic and dedicated individuals committed to social activities and are trained in union operations and professional skills.
