Introduction

The Youth Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is a Youth Union organization equivalent to the district level under the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. It was formerly a grassroots Youth Union organization under the Industrial Sector Youth Union and was transferred to the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union on November 1, 2007 according to Decision No. 136-QĐ/TCCS dated September 15, 2007 of the Standing Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union. In recent years, the Youth Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City has developed steadily in both the number and quality of its members.

Currently, the Youth Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City directly manages 18 Youth Union organizations of faculties, institutes, and the Quang Ngai Campus, along with 01 Youth Union organization for staff and employees.

Functions and Responsibilities

• Advise the Party Committee, the University Board of Management, and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union on directions and measures for Youth Union activities and youth movements at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
• Lead, guide, and direct grassroots Youth Union units and affiliated youth branches in developing action programs consistent with the policies of the Party Committee and higher-level Youth Union organizations, as well as the legitimate needs of youth union members within the University.
• Organize activities for all youth union members of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, thereby contributing to educating revolutionary ideals, building character, and working with the University to train young intellectuals who are both morally upright and professionally competent.
• Monitor and understand the learning situation, activities, and ideological trends of youth union members in the University; research solutions to assist the Party Committee and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union in leading youth work and youth movements comprehensively.
• Organize inspections, supervision, and support for grassroots Youth Union organizations and affiliated youth branches in implementing resolutions, policies, and directives of the Party Committee and higher-level Youth Union organizations.
• Coordinate with functional departments of the University and related units to address matters related to Youth Union activities and youth movements at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
