November 26-27, 2020, at Saigon Da Lat Hotel, Da Lat City, Lam Dong Province, the Ministry of Industry and Trade held the "Conference on summarizing the training and retraining of the academic year 2019-2020, the direction to deploy the tasks of the academic year 2020-2021, and training the staff". Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) was honored to receive the title of Excellent Unit in the emulation movement "Teaching and learning well" in the academic year 2019-2020 awarded by the Minister of Industry and Trade.

The academic year 2019-2020 is challenging because of the COVID-19 pandemic; However, all of the university's staff, officials, employees, lecturers, and students focused on overcoming difficulties, striving to fulfill their tasks well, and achieved many encouraging achievements. Specifically, the university's enrollment has been successful: reaching 104.6% of the planned target, the quality of input remains at a relatively high level; AUN came to evaluate and issue Certificate of program quality standards according to AUN-QA standards for 04 programs, including Automotive Technology, Business Administration, Accounting, and English Language. The programs verified by the AUN meet quality accreditation standards with high marks. The total number of programs granted Certificate of program quality standards under AUN-QA standards raised to 08 programs. The University has applied for QS Asian university rankings and is highly regarded. Scientific research has prospered with a number of 223 articles and studies published in international scientific journals (ISI / Scopus), an increase of 72% compared to 2018 (only 130 articles). International cooperation continues to be expanded. Prestigious universities, international organizations from countries such as the UK, USA, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, and Belgium, greatly appreciate cooperating with the University. The University invests heavily in facilities, implements the expanded KOSEN model, improves the educational environment, and the school's landscape is green, clean, beautiful, and civilized.

With its efforts in the academic year 2019-2020, the Ministry of Industry and Trade leaders have highly appreciated the IUH's achievements. IUH is honored to be one of 06 units under the Ministry of Industry and Trade to receive the Emulation Flag and the Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Industry and Trade awarded.
