On the afternoon of December 26, 2025, a thematic training session on the use of the IUH Brand Identity System was held, with more than 300 leaders, lecturers, officers, and staff from various departments, faculties, and institutes across the University participating. The program was also connected online with the Quang Ngai Campus and the Thanh Hoa Campus, ensuring the unified implementation of the IUH Brand Identity System throughout the entire system.

At the training session, the program content focused on two main themes: the rules for use and practical application of the IUH Brand Identity System, and common mistakes encountered during the design and usage process. In the first theme, specialist Huynh Phu Vinh from the Information and Communications Center presented in detail the core components of the IUH Brand Identity System, including the logo, color palette, font system, and application principles for communication materials of each unit, faculty, and institute.

The presenter also clearly analyzed the differences and usage of various logo versions. These included the official logo, simplified logo, and abbreviated logo. At the same time, he emphasized principles for using the original, reversed, and positive logo versions to ensure consistency and standardization.

The second theme was presented by specialist Nguyen Nam Hai. He focused on identifying common errors in logo design and usage. Through specific illustrative examples, the presenter helped participants clearly recognize cases of non-compliant usage. This enabled them to draw lessons on how to correct and properly apply standards in practice.

Speaking at the training session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thuong, Director of the Information and Communications Center, emphasized: “This training aims to unify the design of communication materials such as backgrounds, standees, and posters across units. This will enhance the IUH brand's recognition. Compliance with the Brand Identity System will help limit basic mistakes. It will gradually professionalize design work and avoid the overuse of visual elements that may overshadow the University’s logo and image.”

Contributing opinions to the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Minh Hung, Head of the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences, proposed that the Information and Communications Center further clarify regulations on logo colors and sizes, particularly in the design and presentation of students’ graduation theses, to ensure consistency and academic standards. These issues were specifically addressed by the Organizing Committee directly during the training session.
The training also emphasized identifying common design errors, such as using colors that overlap or conflict with IUH’s blue–yellow brand color system, overusing multicolored visuals, or using images sourced from the internet or photographs that obscure the University’s logo, thereby reducing brand recognition effectiveness.

At the conclusion of the program, the Organizing Committee conducted a final assessment in the form of an online multiple-choice test to assess participants’ level of content comprehension and serve as a basis for evaluating the training's effectiveness. Through this, the program not only contributed to unifying awareness across the University regarding the use of the IUH Brand Identity System, but also enhanced practical skills, aiming to build an increasingly professional, modern, and consistent University image across communication platforms.
Launched on November 20, 2025, the new Brand Identity System marks a strong transformation of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in its journey of development and integration. Inspired by the three core values Innovation – Unity – Humanity, the logo and identity system not only create a modern, consistent, and creative visual appearance, but also symbolize the University’s strategic vision, aspirations to rise, and global integration in the new era.
