A modern classroom system for the Chinese Language major has recently been invested in at the Faculty of Foreign Languages of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), with a total value of more than VND 1 billion.On the morning of February 5, 2026, the Faculty of Foreign Languages at IUH held the inauguration ceremony for two modern Chinese language classrooms, with teaching equipment sponsored by the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City.
Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, presented the symbolic sponsorship package to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai, Vice Rector of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City
Attending the event were representatives from the Consulate General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, including Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General, and Ms. Zhao Jie Nan, Deputy Consul. Representing Sao Mai Education Group was Ms. Đinh Võ Thị Ngọc Huyền, Deputy Chief Executive Officer.
On the IUH side, the delegation was welcomed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyễn Trường Sa, Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trần Ngọc Hùng, Deputy Head of the Office of Science Management & International Affairs, along with the Head of the Chinese Language Division and lecturers of the faculty.
The sponsorship package included advanced teaching equipment and specialized desks and chairs, fully synchronized for foreign language teaching and learning activities, with a total value of VND 1,092,100,000. The package was provided to equip two standard Chinese language classrooms serving students of the University’s Chinese Language program.
At the ceremony, Mr. Xu Zhou, Deputy Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, expressed his belief that the new classrooms would help improve training quality, promote language and cultural exchange between students of the two countries, and thereby expand future opportunities for study and cooperation.
Representing IUH, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai emphasized:
“This valuable support makes a practical contribution to improving the quality of teaching and learning Chinese, creating a modern learning environment that meets the demand for high-quality human resource training in the context of increasingly deep international integration. The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is committed to using the sponsored classrooms effectively and for their intended purposes and looks forward to continuing to receive long-term support from the Consulate General in the coming time.”
Following the equipment handover, delegates attended the inauguration ceremony of the multifunctional classroom, a space designed in a modern, elegant style and fully integrated with facilities serving both teaching and learning.

At the same time, it helps foster friendship and mutual understanding between the young generations of Vietnam and China, creating a solid foundation for students to confidently enter the labor market amid growing bilateral cooperation.
