On March 31, 2026, the seminar “Shaping Vietnam’s Digital Future - Starting with the Technology Workforce Generation” was held at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. The event was jointly organized by the university, Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, and the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association (VBA).

Representing the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai, Vice Rector.
Representing the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association and the ABAII Institute of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence were Mr. Tran Viet Hung, former Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee and Senior Advisor, and Mr. Tran Huyen Dinh, Head of the Fintech Application Committee.
Representing Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, the co-organizer of the program, was Mr. Nguyen Vinh Tuyen, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Nam A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, Head of the Digital Finance Board of the Vietnam Digital Communications Association, and Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association.
Also attending the seminar were Ms. Khuat Bich Thuy, Legal and Licensing Director for Vietnam Market at Tether, along with leaders from related organizations.
As fintech, blockchain, artificial intelligence, and digital assets continue to accelerate, the labor market is undergoing profound shifts in both structure and skill requirements. New professions are emerging, while many traditional positions are being forced to transform in order to adapt.
The participation of enterprises, especially Nam A Bank and VBA, brought practical perspectives on the technology-finance ecosystem, helping students narrow the gap between the classroom and the labor market.
At the seminar, the ABAII Institute of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence also awarded 200 MasterTeck account scholarships, opening opportunities for students to access more than 300 online courses on blockchain and AI, thereby proactively improving their capabilities in a digital learning environment.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector, received the scholarships from Mr. Tran Viet Hung, former Deputy Chief of the Office of the Party Central Committee and Senior Advisor of the Vietnam Blockchain and Digital Assets Association and the ABAII Institute of Blockchain and Artificial Intelligence.From an educational perspective, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai noted that training methods are continually renewed and aligned with domestic and international quality accreditation standards to keep pace with emerging trends. Meanwhile, Ms. Khuat Bich Thuy emphasized that the key factor is the ability to continuously reinvent oneself and update skills to adapt to the digital environment.
Explaining the trend of cross-border digital payments, Ms. Thuy said that the growth of tourism, international trade, and export-oriented businesses has driven the adoption of more flexible payment methods, including digital assets.
From the business perspective, representatives of Nam A Bank emphasized the urgent demand for a technology workforce, particularly in fintech. The fact that many universities, including IUH, have already provided specialized training in this field shows that education is gradually keeping pace with market demands.

Presentation 4: “Identifying Fintech Trends with AI: Digital Payments - Digital Banking - Financial Inclusion on the Journey to Making Vietnam a Fintech Hub of Southeast Asia, and What Opportunities for IUH Students?” by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bui Huy Khoi, Head of the Department of Marketing, Faculty of Business Administration, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
The seminar is expected to open many strategic cooperation opportunities, contributing to the goal of building a high-quality workforce ready for a prosperous digital Vietnam.
