In order to recognize and timely praise the units with high achievements in the inspection and quality assurance, on May 20, 2022, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City solemnly held a ceremony to announce the decision and award the certificate of training quality accreditation in 2021, 2022 for 12 training programs.

Over the years, the position of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has been constantly increasing. Currently, the University belongs to the group of universities of Vietnam honored to be in the top 601 + leading universities in Asia in the ranking of QS organization in 2021, 2022, ranked 11th among the best universities in Vietnam, meeting the quality standard QS Stars 4 stars - 4 Stars with a score of 684/500, top 5 Webometrics rankings. Starting to carry out the accreditation and evaluation of the quality of training programs according to international standards since 2018, up to now, the University has achieved some encouraging achievements.

In 2021, although the epidemic situation is complicated, with the determination of the school's leaders and the support of accrediting organizations, the University has organized assessments for 4 training programs according to AUN - QA standards, including e-commerce: Garment Engineering Technology, Thermal Engineering Technology, E-commerce, Computer Engineering Technology. As a result, all 4 training programs meet the quality assurance standards of AUN - QA. Thus, IUH currently has 12 training programs certified by AUN-QA, becoming the leading university of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in the number of programs achieving international accreditation quality.

Four units received AUN-QA Training Program Certificates

From 09/01/2022 to 15/01/2022, the Center for Quality Accreditation - Hanoi National University conducted an official survey of 05 master's degree training programs and 03 higher education programs. 05 master-level training programs achieved certificates of education quality accreditation under Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDDT: Analytical Chemistry, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Accounting and Food Technology. 03 university-level training programs have achieved certificates of education quality accreditation under Circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDDT which is Environmental Resource Management, Construction Engineering and Economic Law.

Speaking at the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Tán – Vice Rector of the School said: "The 12 quality assurance certificates in the 2021-2022 school year are the result of the process of building and operating the internal quality assurance system and quality culture of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City." The school has sent many officials and lecturers to participate in formal and in-depth training courses on quality assurance. Up to now, the University has 20 lecturers studying tier 1, 8 lecturers studying tier 2, 5 lecturers studying tier 3; 3 officials studying OBE 3 course (those courses are organized by AUN – QA); 4 lecturers with certificates of accreditors and 07 staff participating in the training course Method of Measuring how to achieve the learning outcome according to ABET (IDEAL). In particular, the school has 2 officials who are AUN - QA assessors (of which 1 officer is the main assessor).

At the ceremony, Mr. Johnson Ong Chee Bin – expert of AUN-QA, founding member of EQI, congratulated the school: "Although I have only recently started the evaluation of the quality of the training program, I can see the determination as well as professionalism in the way the whole school works. I also see the continuity in the direction and implementation from the rector board to each lecturer and expert of the school. That's what makes the school successful today."

In the coming time, IUH will continue to prepare to inspect all remaining e-commerce and accredit the 2-level cycle of educational institutions according to AUN - QA standards. The school will also actively participate in ranking systems such as QS, Webometrics, Scimago and UPM.
