Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City
Notably, IUH had three narrow subjects debut in the rankings. Among them, Art and Design was placed in the 101-150 band. This is the university’s highest position, and a highly competitive tier on the global higher education map. Business and Management Studies were ranked in the 601-650 band. Computer Science and Information Systems was listed in the 651-700 band.
Although this is IUH’s first appearance in the rankings, the subject’s placement among the world’s top 150 signals a clear boost to the university’s reputation. This achievement enhances IUH’s appeal to prospective students and partners by demonstrating improved training quality, standardized curricula, and stronger research and teaching capacity.
According to QS, 13 Viet Namese higher education institutions were ranked across 23 subjects in 2026. Within that broader picture, IUH’s presence is significant not only because of its inclusion but also because of its specific ranking positions, especially in creative and economic disciplines, fields currently in high demand in the labor market.
This result also continues IUH’s upward momentum in international rankings. In November 2025, the university ranked 335th in Asia and 73rd in Southeast Asia. Its steady improvement in position shows that IUH’s international-standard development strategy delivers positive results.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Rector of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (center), represented the university in proudly receiving the “Global Engagement - Performance Improvement” award at the QS Higher Education Summit: Asia Pacific in Seoul, South Korea, on the afternoon of November 4, 2025.
Viewed within this long-term journey, IUH’s 70 years of formation and development reflect the university's impressive and steady transformation, affirming its role and contribution to the growth of higher education in Viet Nam.
