On June 20, 2023, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and the Ho Chi Minh City Trade Cooperative Union (Saigon Co.op) signed a comprehensive cooperation agreement.
Attending the signing ceremony were Mr. Danh Quy - Director of Saigon Co.op Human Resources Organization Department and recruiters as well as trainers of the company. On the IUH side, there was the participation of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu – Vice Rector of the University and heads and deputy of the Faculty of Information Technology, Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Accounting – Auditing, Faculty of Commerce and Tourism.
According to the signed cooperation agreement, both parties will promote Visit/Internship/Internship programs; Training and Recruitment; Teaching and Scientific Research. At the same time, Saigon Co.op awards IUH students with many scholarships to support their studies.
At the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu expects that the cooperation relationship between the two sides will bring many practical benefits to both sides, and at the same time contribute to the sustainable development goals of the University. "IUH has great strengths in retail training, with previous projects cooperating with many large corporations in the world such as Lotte and Uniliver. We also have teaching staff in the fields of service, logistics and especially e-commerce. In the current sales trend, IUH thinks it is possible to cooperate with Saigon Co.op to promote this activity." Mr. Hieu emphasized.

Appreciating IUH's position in training high-quality human resources, Mr. Danh Quy affirmed: "We see common ground in the strategy and core values between the two units. The comprehensive and strategic cooperation between Saigon Co.op and IUH will bring new values to the community and society. In addition, we also consider IUH as a potential customer market to pay attention to."
