On the morning of August 11, IUH and CTW Technology Joint Stock Company signed a Memorandum of Understanding at Hall E4, focusing on education, research, and human resource development in the semiconductor and integrated circuit sector.
Under the agreement, IUH and CTW Technology will collaborate in education, scientific research, technology transfer, and human resource development, with a focus on semiconductor integrated circuits, AIoT, systems-on-chip (SoC), and embedded systems.
Speaking at the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai noted that the rapid development of artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things, and semiconductor technologies is placing increasingly high demands on human resources.
She emphasized that collaboration between the University and industry not only helps integrate emerging technologies into academic programs but also gives students early exposure to the professional environment and practical requirements of the industry.
Following the signing ceremony, CTW Technology donated 20 AIoT development boards to the Faculty of Electronics Technology, including 10 DE10-Standard boards and 10 DE10-Nano boards.
The program continued with the "AI & Semiconductor" workshop, which addressed current topics and emerging developments in semiconductor technology and artificial intelligence.
At the workshop, Mr. Triệu Hiệp Lộc shared insights into the current state and prospects of Vietnam's semiconductor ecosystem. CTW engineers introduced trends in AI applications in the semiconductor industry, the Remote Lab model, and the CTW-Semi Platform for chip design and manufacturing.
These discussions expanded the program beyond signing an agreement and donating equipment, creating a platform for universities and industry to exchange perspectives on workforce needs, technological developments, and the future direction of the semiconductor sector.
For the Faculty of Electronics Technology, strengthening industry partnerships, expanding hands-on training equipment, and organizing professional development activities are part of its efforts to bring education closer to real-world technological practices.
As semiconductor integrated circuits, AIoT, and embedded systems play an increasingly important role in high-tech industries, experiences ranging from classrooms and laboratories to industry engagement programs are expected to help IUH students gain a clearer understanding of career opportunities and professional requirements in the field while they are still at university.
