The 2026 Summer Volunteer Campaign of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) introduces several notable new initiatives, including the launch of its first-ever Digital Summer Team, the deployment of ten non-residential Green Summer volunteer teams across newly reorganized wards, and the expansion of community activities centered on digital transformation to meet local development needs.

Launching ceremony of the 2026 Summer Volunteer Campaign.
On the morning of June 6, the IUH Youth Union and Student Association officially launched the 2026 Summer Volunteer Campaign, with nearly 400 student volunteers participating, marking the beginning of another meaningful season of community service by IUH students.
Attending the ceremony were Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng, Member of the Standing Committee of the University Party Committee and Vice Rector; Mr. Lê Văn Hoàng, Secretary of the University Youth Union and Commander of the 2026 Green Summer Campaign; representatives of partner organizations and sponsors; together with a large number of Youth Union members and students.
This year's campaign is organized as IUH youth celebrate the 50th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh City proudly bearing the name of President Hồ Chí Minh and prepare for the University's 70th anniversary. Beyond providing students with opportunities to develop practical skills and serve the community, the campaign also aims to address the real needs of local communities.
The most remarkable highlight of this year's campaign is the establishment of the Digital Summer Team for the first time. The initiative represents a new direction in IUH's volunteer movement by integrating digital transformation, technology applications, and digital literacy support into community service activities. The team is led by student Nguyễn Đức Việt Anh.
According to the Campaign Steering Committee, the Digital Summer Team demonstrates how volunteer activities adapt to society's rapidly advancing digital transformation. In addition to helping local residents access digital technologies, the initiative enables students in engineering, information technology, and digital economy programs to apply their professional knowledge to meaningful community projects.
Another new feature of this year's campaign is the establishment of ten non-residential Green Summer volunteer teams across ten newly reorganized wards in Ho Chi Minh City. Working in close collaboration with local authorities, these teams will implement a wide range of community service activities, including environmental protection, urban civilization initiatives, youth support programs, social welfare activities, and other community development projects.
Alongside the non-residential teams, the campaign continues to maintain residential volunteer teams in Ho Chi Minh City, Đồng Tháp Province, and Vĩnh Long Province. Student volunteers will carry out numerous youth projects and community initiatives tailored to local needs, contributing to rural development, community support, and the promotion of IUH students' spirit of volunteerism. This year's campaign also received strong support from various organizations and businesses. Gold Sponsor Hada Labo has donated 1,000 gift packages for student volunteers, while the 3 Miền instant noodle brand has contributed 50 gift sets to encourage participants throughout the campaign.
