On the afternoon of September 9, 2026, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) held the closing and award ceremony for the university-level round of the 2026 Euréka Student Scientific Research Awards. Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng, Vice Rector of IUH, attended the event alongside representatives of the Office of Science Management and International Affairs, the Youth Union, and specialized evaluation panels.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng emphasized that scientific research and innovation are key drivers of improving education quality while helping students develop scientific thinking and creativity. "The University hopes that through the Euréka Awards, many projects will continue to be refined, advance to further rounds, and help foster a stronger research culture among IUH students," he said.
A notable feature of this year's university-level round was that projects were evaluated within their respective fields to ensure assessments reflected each discipline's specific characteristics. Following the review process, 24 projects were selected for First, Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes across the five fields.

Projects in Economics and Social Sciences approached research from perspectives including management, markets, behavior, everyday life, and social issues. Each field had its own award structure comprising First, Second, Third, and Consolation Prizes, allowing research teams to be assessed according to the academic characteristics of their respective disciplines.
Beyond recognizing outstanding projects, the university-level round also served as a selection stage for the city-level competition. Of the 76 participating projects, 40 were recommended by the specialized panels to represent IUH at the city-level round of the 2026 Euréka Student Scientific Research Awards, scheduled for October.
These projects were recognized for their quality and potential for further development before representing IUH students at the next level of the scientific research competition.
For students, Euréka provides an opportunity to present their ideas, receive academic feedback, and strengthen their research skills. With 76 projects, 11 specialized panels, 24 award-winning projects, and 40 projects recommended for the city-level round, the university-level Euréka 2026 Awards marked another meaningful research activity celebrating IUH's 70 years of establishment and development.
