In the joyful atmosphere as the nation celebrates Vietnamese Teachers' Day 20/11 — a day to honor those who nurture and cultivate knowledge — the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) proudly marks a series of outstanding achievements. These milestones reflect the relentless dedication of the entire IUH community, especially its devoted and passionate faculty members.

 

On the morning of November 20, 2025, IUH solemnly organized the Ceremony Celebrating the 43rd Anniversary of Vietnamese Teachers' Day (20/11/1982 – 20/11/2025). During the event, the University was honoured to receive Certificates of Recognition for 12 newly appointed Professors and Associate Professors in 2025. At the same time, one unit and five academic programs were officially recognized as meeting the UPM 5-star application-oriented standard. Notably, the Ceremony also marked a significant turning point for IUH with the official launch of its new brand identity.

Representing the University leadership at the Ceremony were: Dr. Phan Hồng Hải – Secretary of the Party Committee, President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huỳnh Trung Hiếu – Chair of the University Council; Mr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng – Vice President; together with leaders from faculties, institutes, departments, centres, and all IUH staff and lecturers.
IUH was also delighted to welcome People's Teacher, Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức – Former Vice President of Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Member of the State Council for Professorial Titles; and Chair of the Physics Professorial Title Council of Vietnam — along with distinguished delegates and guests.

Twelve IUH Scholars Recognized as Professors and Associate Professors in 2025
In the solemn atmosphere of the Ceremony, IUH organized the presentation of Certificates of Recognition for Professorial and Associate Professorial Titles in 2025 — a significant milestone in the academic careers and lifelong dedication of IUH scientists. The honorees include:

This recognition is not only a prestigious honour bestowed by the State Council for Professorial Titles but also a well-deserved reward for the scholars' persistent dedication, deep expertise, and unwavering commitment to teaching — all of which significantly contribute to IUH's academic reputation and development.

IUH Institute of Finance – Accounting and Five Academic Programs Achieve UPM 5-Star Rating
In 2025, the UPM Innovation Institute, under the Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations, announced the UPM Ranking and Benchmarking Results for 2024–2025 — a system evaluating higher education quality against international standards, with participation from more than 100 institutions and programs worldwide.
In this assessment, IUH's Institute of Finance – Accounting achieved the UPM 5-star application-oriented standard, affirming the University's quality, credibility, and sustainable development direction.

IUH Launches Its New Brand Identity
Seventy years, a journey of knowledge, innovation, and humanistic values. From the Gò Vấp Vocational School (1956) to the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, this milestone marks IUH's aspirations, resilience, and transformation as it integrates with the era. Each developmental phase and each emblem has reflected the University's spirit of creativity, dedication, and renewal.

During the Ceremony, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hồng Hải, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of IUH, expressed his deepest gratitude to all IUH faculty members for their steadfast contributions to education and to the University's 70-year legacy. He emphasized: "The remarkable achievements IUH has recently accomplished — including completing the AUN-QA accreditation version 3.0, improving QS rankings, and making strong progress in curriculum innovation, international integration, digital transformation, and research capacity — have all been made possible thanks to the dedication of our faculty. Our lecturers are at the heart of knowledge creation, intellectual development, and student success."
On the occasion of Vietnamese Teachers' Day, he extended his best wishes for health and happiness to all IUH lecturers. He encouraged them to continue to support the University in its pursuit of sustainable development in this new phase.
