During the period of social distancing due to the Covid-19 epidemic, academic playgrounds and scientific research have had many difficulties in implementing the organization. However, with the spirit of eagerness to learn and create, the Faculty of Civil Engineering recently organized the online contest "Young Architecture 2021". The program has given students the opportunity to express their passion in the field of architecture and construction.

The contest is inspired by the subject of Architecture, one of Construction industry sectors, understanding architecture will create many advantages for a construction engineer. Therefore, this is also an opportunity for students to apply their subject knowledge to challenge themselves and hone their design skills before leaving school.

The contest has gone through 3 rounds and received more than 50 designs from students with many aesthetic products, innovation thinking in architectural design, bringing their own style. Although it only took place within 4 days, the contest attracted more than 3,000 interactions not only from students in the faculty but also teachers and young people from other universities and colleges. Thereby, it can be seen that the contest has created attraction and spread to the community of architecture and construction enthusiasts.

+ 2nd prize: Student Tran Viet Quoc Dat – Branch of DHKTXD14A with product: Quoc An Villa

+ 3th prize: Student Le Thi My Linh – DHKTXD14B branch with product: DaRa Villa

+ Consolation prize: Student Dang Nu Hoang Hon – Branch of DHKTXD14B with product Sunset Villa and Nguyen Phuc Cuong – Branch of DHKTXD14A with Phuc Cuong Villa product.

+ People’s choice award: Student Duong Trung Vuong – DHKXTD14B branch with DTV Villa products.

The Young Architecture Contest 2021 is not only a new creative academic playground but also a practical activity in the series of activities to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the establishment of Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union (26/3/1931 – 26/3/2020 2021), welcoming the Ho Chi Minh City Communist Youth Union of  Civil Engineering Faculty for the first time to achieve outstanding titles in the youth union and movement in the academic year 2020 - 2021 (Top 3) and lead the emulation cluster 03 in 2 consecutive years.
