On May 18, 2022, at the City Hall, Dr. Phan Hong Hai - Rector of IUH was honored to receive the Certificate of Merit from the Ho Chi Minh City Committee for outstanding achievements in learning and following Ho Chi Minh’s ideas, ethics and style in 2021 - 2022.
On the occasion of the 132nd birth anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh, the 111th anniversary of Uncle Ho's searching for a way to save the country, the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee held a ceremony to praise many groups and individuals with outstanding achievements in learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and style in 2021 - 2022. Attending the ceremony were comrades: Nguyen Van Nen - Member of the Politburo, Party Secretary of Ho Chi Minh City; Phan Van Vinh - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Standing Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City; together with members of the Standing Committee of the City People's Committee, Standing Committee of the City People's Council, Standing Committee of the City People's Committee; representatives of leaders of the Members' Committees, the City Inspection Committee, the City Council Office; representatives of leaders of the Vietnam People's Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, socio-political organizations in Ho Chi Minh City; together with the standing comrades of the District Committee, District Committee, Thu Duc City Committee, party committee on the basis, typical samples with excellent achievements in learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and style in 2021-2022.

In the past year, despite the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, thanks to the unity and consensus throughout the Party Committee and the leadership of Dr. Phan Hong Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of the School, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City overcame difficulties and achieved many encouraging achievements. For instance, training activities still ensured quality and progress thanks to the rapid implementation of online learning and examination forms; the enrollment reached 100% of the target; 04 more training programs were successfully evaluated by AUN-QA; Scientific research activities, connecting businesses had many improvements. Especially in 2021, the school was honored to be evaluated by QS organization with 4 QS Stars. For party work, the Party Committee continued to exceed targets on Party development, ensuring the maintenance of the style and internal political protection.

Receiving the Certificate of Merit for having a typical achievement in learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and style in 2021-2022, Dr. Phan Hong Hai could not hide his joy, he said: "This award is a great encouragement not only for myself but also for the whole team of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. Taking the advice of President Ho Chi Minh at the time of his birth "Every good person is a beautiful flower, our whole nation is a beautiful flower garden" as a guideline to help the Party Committee and the whole school actively participate in learning and following Ho Chi Minh's ideas, ethics and style in the coming time."
In addition, on May 19, 2022, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City received certificates of merit from 02 individuals: Comrade Hoang Do – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the University and Comrade Nguyen Huy Phuc – Secretary of The 2nd Branch; 02 unions are the unions of The 1st Branch and the 2nd Branch of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City awarded by the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade in Ho Chi Minh City for outstanding achievements in performing well in learning and following the thought, Ho Chi Minh ethics and style in 2021 - 2022.
