Delegation No. 5 departs from April 26, 2022 to May 3, 2022
During the business trip, the delegates of IUH visited and presented gifts to officials, soldiers and people of the islands: Sinh Tồn, Cô Lin, Núi Le A, Tốc Tan B, Trường Sa Đông, Đá Tây A, Đá Lát, Trường Sa lớn, and DK1/18- Phuc Tan truss with a total amount of more than VND 600 million. In addition, the delegation also carried 1000 national flags, knowing that flying in this sacred sovereign land, the national flag always faced stormy winds and are very quickly torn.

The delegation also attended a rally to commemorate the 47th anniversary of the liberation of the Spratly Islands; Memorial ceremonies for martyrs who died in the islands, flag ceremony, parades on the great Spratly Islands; visiting and offering incense at temples, visiting residences, working, living, increasing the production of people's cadres, visiting schools, infirmary, fishery logistics centers as well as participating in cultural exchanges with soldiers on the islands.
Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, vice-rector of the school, said: "For many years, the school has always paid attention and taken many practical measures to support activities to protect the sovereignty of the sacred sea and islands of the fatherland. Through the business trip, we hope to provide more motivation for the troops and people of Truong Sa island district and officials and soldiers of DK1 to be assured of sticking with the sea and islands, standing firmly at the head of waves and wind, successfully completing the task of protecting the sovereignty of the sea, islands and sacred continental shelves of the Fatherland entrusted by the Party and people."

Unforgettable Memories
On the first visit to Truong Sa, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Hung Anh could not hide his emotions: "I was lucky to go to Truong Sa for the first time in the 5th delegation from April 26 to May 3, 2022, after a miss in May 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. What I was very surprised and excited to see was the works of generating electricity from the sun and wind on the islands, providing the soldiers and people in Truong Sa with clean and precious electricity from the endless nature here" This emotion helped him to take the photo series Truong Sa Relay – participated and won the first prize in the Photo category at The Truong Sa Imprint Contest 2022 held during the business trip. In addition, in the framework of the contest, the delegation of the University also won the second prize in the field of Poetry with the work of Dr. Dang Cong Trang - Dean of The Faculty of Law and Third Prize - Music category with the work of Dr. Nguyen Thien Tue - former rector of IUH.

All of them were first-time delegates to Truong Sa, everyone couldn't help but be moved by the will and sacrifice of the soldiers on the front lines of the country. Mr. Nguyen Thien Tue shared a story that he was very impressed when visiting Tay A Stone Island. "At 17:00 on April 30, 2022, after more than two hours of visiting the soldiers on Tay A Reef, our delegation gathered at the wharf to prepare to board the canoe to return to KN 490 ship. Suddenly a Navy soldier crept up in the crowd to find me, asked for my phone number and asked me when to post a video on his YouTube channel so that he would know that he would call back to the mainland for his son to watch to see his father's picture. Through confiding, it is known that his name is Le Dac Luc, 52 years old, from Thanh Hoa village, has been on duty on the island for 10 years, and will be discharged in 3 years’ time. I asked: Do you miss home? I said, "I miss it! Remember the land, miss your family, especially miss children. Whenever the delegation on the mainland came out, they were very happy and reduce homesickness. But in return, here the comrades on the island are very united, love each other, help and share with each other in difficult times. He happily shared to me that he had planted two-colored paper cotton and Ho Diep orchids from the mainland. Every day he regularly takes care of them and watches them reduce his homesickness."
There are many memories in Truong Sa – where the sacred sovereign land of the fatherland has Truong Sa soldiers who still silently guard the sovereignty milestone of the sea and islands. After the trip, the University will continue to launch activities to support the sovereignty of the sea and islands, once again expressing the spirit of "The whole country for Truong Sa, Truong Sa for the whole country"
