As the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) approaches the milestone of its 70th anniversary, the University's Party Committee continues to innovate its leadership approach, strengthen unity, and promote collective determination to accomplish the key objectives and tasks of 2026.

On the morning of July 14, the Party Committee of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held its Conference to Review Party Affairs in the First Six Months of 2026, outlined key tasks for the remaining six months of the year, and commended exemplary collectives and individuals for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle in 2026.

The conference was attended by Mr. Doan Truong Quang, Head of the Commission for Publicity, Education and Mass Mobilization of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee; Mr. Vo Hoai Van, Deputy Chief of Office of the Party Committee of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee and Head of Working Group No. 7. Representing IUH were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector; members of the Party Committee, the Board of Rectors, leaders of affiliated units, secretaries of subordinate Party cells, together with Party members and staff participating both in person and online.

The conference took place during a particularly significant year as IUH prepares to celebrate its 70th anniversary (November 11, 1956 – November 11, 2026). It focused on reviewing the Party Committee's leadership in fulfilling political tasks and Party-building activities during the first half of the year, while identifying key priorities for the remainder of 2026.

At the conference, Mr. Pham Trung Kien, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, presented the report reviewing Party affairs during the first six months of 2026 and outlining key tasks for the remaining six months. The report highlighted notable achievements in Party building, leadership in political and professional activities, and identified priority tasks necessary to accomplish the University's objectives for the year.

In his keynote address, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Phan Hong Hai, Secretary of the Party Committee and Rector, acknowledged the achievements accomplished by the entire Party Committee during the first half of the year. He called on Party committees and Party cells at all levels to continue promoting solidarity, innovation, and responsibility among Party members and staff; accelerate digital transformation and innovation; and strive to accomplish all political tasks successfully during the second half of the year, thereby contributing to the University's sustainable development.

One of the conference's key agenda items was the presentation of official decisions approving the Party committee memberships for the 2025–2030 term for 30 subordinate Party cells. The consolidation of Party committees was carried out in accordance with the latest regulations of the Party Central Committee, contributing to strengthening the leadership capacity and combat effectiveness of grassroots Party organizations throughout the University.

The conference also recognized and rewarded numerous outstanding collectives and individuals. The Party Committee of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City was one of eight organizations awarded a Certificate of Merit by the Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for outstanding achievements in studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, ethics, and lifestyle. In addition, the University's Party Committee commended six collectives and 33 exemplary individuals, while honoring five Party members who had achieved the title of "Outstanding Task Completion" for five consecutive years.

The conference reached consensus on a number of key tasks and solutions aimed at further strengthening the leadership capacity of grassroots Party organizations, building a highly capable team of Party members and staff, and fostering solidarity to successfully accomplish the University's objectives for 2026 as it moves toward the milestone of its 70 years of establishment and development.
