In 2025, on the QS Asia 2026 rankings, IUH rose to 355th in Asia and 73rd in Southeast Asia. It was also honored with the Global Engagement Award. In the same year, IUH entered the 1,201–1,400 group of the world’s best universities for the first time in the QS World University Rankings 2026. Beyond its impressive rise, IUH was recognized by QS as a large-scale public university with a comprehensive orientation and high research intensity. These achievements further affirm its increasingly solid position in Vietnam’s and the region’s higher education landscape.

In June 2025, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City successfully organized the 14th Party Congress for the 2025–2030 term. This was an important political event. It marked the end of a five-year journey and opened a new development phase for the University. The goal was to concretize development strategies for the 2025–2030 period. During the 2020–2025 term, under higher-level Party leadership and a spirit of solidarity, IUH accomplished its objectives. The action motto was “Democracy – Creativity – Solidarity – Integration.”

By December 2025, IUH continued to leave a strong mark in quality assurance with 46 programs accredited by domestic and international organizations. Among them were 6 ABET-accredited programs, 24 AUN-QA-accredited programs, and 17 programs meeting the standards of the Ministry of Education and Training. Notably, 8 programs were accredited for the second cycle, affirming the sustainability, continuity, and consistency in maintaining and enhancing training quality at IUH. These achievements in accreditation and international rankings clearly demonstrate IUH’s effective implementation of Decision No. 78/QĐ-TTg of the Prime Minister. 

Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City remains steadfast in its strategy to build a Digital University model. The focus is on developing digital platforms, media ecosystems, and modern experiential technologies. These aim to enhance learning effectiveness, governance, and learner experience. In August 2025, IUH issued an action program to implement Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW of the Politburo. This demonstrates its determination to become a pioneering university in research, innovation, and digital transformation.

In addition, in 2025, IUH opened several key disciplines such as Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, Nuclear Power Engineering, and Energy Management, while launching a 360-degree VRTour that allows learners and parents to experience a comprehensive view of a smart, modern learning environment on digital platforms, effectively supporting training, governance, and admissions.

Scientific research activities at IUH continued to make strong breakthroughs, affirming its position within Vietnam’s higher education system. The University published nearly 2,000 international papers, of which over 40% appeared in Q1 and Q2 journals with high prestige and impact factors. In 2025 alone, IUH published 711 ISI/Scopus-indexed papers, an increase of nearly 23% over 2024, placing the University among the top five Vietnamese universities in international publications.
IUH students have formed and developed many green startup projects on a solid research foundation. The Netgins warming ginger project shows high commercial potential. The project “From Fish Scales to Green Value” won Second Prize at the Food Innovation and Development 2025 competition. Both projects contribute to sustainable food solutions in a green economy.

In 2025, the number of IUH students participating in prestigious academic, research, and innovation competitions grew significantly, both domestically and internationally.

At the Euréka Student Scientific Research Awards 2025, IUH students excellently won First Prize in the Engineering and Technology field, affirming strong research capacity and creative spirit; this was followed by a Second Prize at the 2025 Student Science and Technology Awards organized by the Ministry of Education and Training. Notably, IUH students continued to shine in major technology competitions, achieving outstanding results in the Informatics Olympiad, AI Olympiad, Procon, and ICPC Asia; First Prize in the International Midea HVAC System Design Competition, Second Prize in the Vietnam Electronics Design Competition, and Runner-up at the Water Tech Innovation Lounge.

These impressive results are not only individual achievements but also affirm the competence, intellect, and integration capacity of IUH students, who are ready to conquer major arenas and contribute to the development of science and technology and to the country's green economy.

In 2025, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City continued to expand its strategic cooperation network with many reputable domestic and international partners, linking training with research, enterprises, and the labor market. IUH signed cooperation agreements with Chuo University of Technology (Japan) and with enterprises such as Techno World and Tam Viet, opening opportunities for students in Japan to train and receive job-transition support. Internationally, IUH strengthened cooperation with Wonkwang University (Korea) and the University of Liège (Kingdom of Belgium) through sustainable research projects, such as REMAOP, involving partners from home and abroad and aiming to achieve the global Sustainable Development Goals.

The University also enhanced domestic enterprise partnerships with major partners such as EVNPECC4, Roboworld, Huynh Thy, SITES II, Panasonic Vietnam, Mitsubishi Motors Vietnam, ABB Vietnam, and AVEVA, thereby improving training quality and applied research and creating internship and employment opportunities for students. Many modern laboratories and practice centers have been sponsored by enterprises, ranging from HVAC technology and industrial robotics to automobiles and automation software, with investments totaling millions of US dollars.

Notably, the IUH Job Fair is held annually, bringing together hundreds of domestic and international enterprises and serving as a sustainable bridge between the University, enterprises, and students, affirming IUH’s practice-oriented training approach and commitment to accompanying learners on their career journeys.

In 2025, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City organized a series of large-scale student events, creating memorable moments throughout the academic year. Highlights included the Freshman Welcome Day 2025–2026, where more than 10,000 K21 freshmen officially joined the IUH family in a vibrant and emotional atmosphere, along with the explosive “IUH’s Concert 2025,” energizing the new academic year. Notably, the 2025 Graduation Season left a strong impression with the “Avenue of Honor,” which for the first time featured the names of new bachelors and engineers, spreading the spirit of Innovation – Unity – Humanity and creating a distinctive IUH identity.

Alongside education and research, IUH continuously spreads strong humanitarian values through numerous practical community and social welfare activities. In November 2025, amid complex flooding that caused severe human and property losses in Central Vietnam, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City promptly provided over VND 4.3 billion through Tuoi Tre Newspaper, joining hands with local authorities to share the difficulties faced by affected communities. IUH also urgently donated desks, computers, and student uniforms to Dong Khoi Secondary School, helping teachers and students quickly stabilize teaching and learning after the disaster.

In addition, the University allocates nearly VND 80 billion in scholarships annually, along with many special scholarships supporting students and pupils in difficult circumstances, demonstrating its commitment to placing learners at the center. Community service trips to highland, border, and island areas; social welfare projects such as the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City Bridge, support for building charity houses in An Nhon Ward, construction of large-capacity water filtration systems for communities, support for building a new Pac Ra satellite school… have all contributed to spreading the spirit of sharing and social responsibility, affirming that IUH is not only a place for cultivating knowledge but also a place that nurtures compassion and aspirations for community advancement.

Approaching its nearly 70-year milestone, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City intensified its strategy to build and disseminate its brand across multi-channel media platforms. From Go Vap Vocational School in 1956 to today’s IUH, it is a journey of knowledge, innovation, and humanitarian values. On this occasion, the University officially launched its new brand identity system, inspired by the three core values of Innovation – Unity – Humanity, featuring a modern, synchronized logo and visual system that reflects its strategic vision and aspirations for global integration. The synchronization of brand identity across media platforms has expanded reach, enhanced IUH’s reputation, and brought the University’s brand closer to learners, partners, and the wider community.
