To promptly commend the achievements of the students who have achieved the bronze medal and certificate of excellence in the World vocational skills competition  2015 and the IUH’s lecturers participating in the training process, on September 3, 2015, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held the commendation ceremony. Attending the ceremony, there were representatives of Mr. Pham Van Linh, Vice President of Student Union of Ho Chi Minh City.

This year the World Vocational Skills Competition was held in the city of Sao Paulo (Brazil). Vietnam achieved: 01 bronze medal and 08 vocational certificates of excellence. With this first bronze medal, Vietnam is recognized on  the world skills - technology map. The first medal also meant to inspire Vietnam delegation to achieve many more medals in the coming World Vocational Skills Competitions.

Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City have two candidates participating in the national team including Nguyen Duy Thanh (students of IT Faculty), competing IT software solution and Luong Cong Hieu (students of IT Faculty), competing Web design. Both students of the University achieved prizes including 01 bronze medal and 01 vocational certificate of excellence. Especially, Nguyen Duy Thanh has earned the first and the only medal for Vietnam team so far. He also won the prize “Best of Nations” (student who has the best score of the country).

Students of IUH have kept the tradition to continuously contribute to the success of Viet Nam team so far.

Having a speech at the honored ceremony,  Dr. Nguyen Thien Tue - Rector of IUH, stressed: "Achievements of Vietnam delegation this time have demonstrated that the training field of technology at the universities has gradually shifted towards intensifying practice, practical applications and have to keep up with the world trend ".

On this occasion, Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City has praised Nguyen Duy Thanh who has achieved excellent achievement in the World Vocational Skills Competition, bringing glory to Vietnam Team.
