From April 18 to 20, 2026, the Faculty of Electronics Technology at Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) organized the 5th International Conference on Intelligent Systems Design and Applications (ISDEA 2026) and the Conference on Machine Learning and Computational Intelligence (MLCI 2026). The events brought together dozens of scientists from around the world, creating a vibrant and multidimensional forum for academic exchange.

Notably, the conference featured renowned scholars such as James Kwok from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, an IEEE Fellow and Program Chair of IJCAI 2025; Yin-Tien Wang from Tamkang University, known for research on brain-inspired machine learning; along with Weinan Gao from Northeastern University, and many experts in robotics and automation. Their participation not only deepened the academic quality of the conference but also demonstrated IUH’s growing appeal within the international research network.

In addition, the presence of many Vietnamese universities and research institutes, such as Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology, University of Information Technology - Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, Can Tho University, and Viettel Aerospace Institute, reflects the increasingly strong synergy between domestic research institutions and the international academic community, contributing to enhancing Vietnam’s scientific standing.
