This internship took place under the Taiwan Experience Education Program (TEEP), designed to attract international students to Taiwan for research and cultural exchange. The IUH student group joined from September 24 to December 21, 2025, aiming to gain practical, cross-cultural skills.
The four students, Ho Duc Dung, Nguyen Cong Thanh, Lam Do Ngoc Quy, and Le Manh Duy, achieved academic results at a good level or higher and demonstrated English proficiency of TOEIC 450+, meeting the requirements for the nearly three-month internship program. Through this program, students were granted enterprise internship credits while effectively supplementing specialized courses such as Power Electronics, Electric Drives, Electrical Machines, Automatic Control Engineering, IoT, and Machine Learning.
Student Nguyen Cong Thanh shared that the educational environment in Taiwan emphasizes strong foundational knowledge and self-directed learning, which helps students develop applied thinking and adopt modern teaching and research methods.
Meanwhile, Ho Duc Dung, who is proficient in both English and Chinese clearly demonstrated his strengths in an international academic environment. His flexible use of two foreign languages enabled him to proactively engage in academic discussions with supervising professors, quickly access laboratory research materials, and communicate effectively with students and local residents in both academic and daily life. According to Dung: “The TEEP program not only opens opportunities to access modern laboratories and advanced technologies, but also helps students develop the ability to work in multicultural environments, cultivate research thinking, and enhance international integration capacity key factors for engineering students in the context of globalization.”
Lam Do Ngoc Quy and Le Manh Duy noted that the program provided in-depth knowledge of electric drive systems and motors as used in enterprises. It also improved their skills in teamwork, scientific research, English academic reading, and adaptability to international environments.
Based on their practical experience in Taiwan, the students of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology shared a message with IUH students: proactively explore your field and actively participate in projects, laboratories, and international exchange programs while still at university. These early experiences will become essential assets, helping students confidently choose their career paths and integrate effectively in the future.
