The door to study and work in the Federal Republic of Germany — a country renowned for innovation, discipline, and advanced science and technology — is now open for students of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH). This marks a golden opportunity for young Vietnamese talents to study, train, and build a career in an international environment, with a starting salary of up to 4,300 euros per month.
On the afternoon of October 9, 2025, IUH held a seminar titled “Career and Global Development Opportunities in the Federal Republic of Germany”, in collaboration with Liebherr Group and GEDU International GmbH. The seminar provided IUH students with practical information on study, training, and career development programs in one of the world’s leading industrial hubs.
Attending the event were Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng – Vice President of IUH, Dr. Lê Ngọc Sơn – DiPresident of the Institute of International and Postgraduate Education, along with representatives from various faculties and institutes. From the partner side, participants included Mr. Vũ Quang Minh – Senior Advisor at GEDU International GmbH, former Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, and former Ambassador of Vietnam to Germany; Mr. Peter Kompalla – Chief Representative of the German Chamber of Industry and Commerce in Vietnam (AHK Vietnam); representatives from Liebherr Group, and Mr. Nguyễn Quang Trung – DiPresident of LETCO (Hanoi University of Industry).
The seminar attracted over 400 IUH students, reflecting strong interest in international cooperation programs that offer pathways to study, work, and career advancement in Germany.
Speaking at the event, Mr. Vũ Quang Minh emphasized:
“In recent years, Germany has faced a significant labor shortage across many sectors. With open policies and cooperation programs between the two governments, Vietnamese students — especially those from IUH — now have more opportunities than ever to study and work in this leading European industrial nation.”
He further highlighted that Germany, the world’s third-largest economy, values discipline, precision, and efficiency, and when these strengths combine with the creativity and adaptability of Vietnamese youth, they create a sustainable partnership and a bright career future for the next generation.

Founded in 1949, Liebherr Group is one of the world’s leading multinational corporations, comprising over 140 companies operating in more than 100 countries across 13 business sectors. With a growing demand for skilled labor in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Industrial Electrical Engineering, Liebherr offers IUH students direct access to a professional, high-tech, and globally competitive working environment.
Representatives Mr. Karol Filipiak and Mr. Marco Müller provided detailed information about the cooperation program and recruitment needs in these three key sectors. They noted that graduates with professional experience will be prioritized, with a starting salary of 4,300 euros per month (approximately 120 million VND), alongside modern workplaces, clear career advancement opportunities, and attractive benefits.
German language proficiency is considered a key advantage for candidates. For third- and fourth-year students, the program will be implemented in two phases:
- Phase 1 (8–12 months): Intensive German language training and basic technical knowledge in Vietnam.
- Phase 2 (1–3 months): Transition and internship period in Germany, including diploma recognition, on-site training at Liebherr facilities, and opportunities for long-term employment contracts.
“This program helps students not only improve technical and linguistic competence but also adapt to German work culture before officially starting their careers,” shared Mr. Karol Filipiak.
Addressing the seminar, Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng – Vice President of IUH, stated: “With nearly 70 years of establishment and development, IUH has always been a pioneer in educational innovation, program diversification, and international cooperation — creating conditions for students to integrate globally and develop comprehensively in the era of globalization.”
At the Q&A session, IUH students actively raised questions about recruitment procedures, eligibility criteria, and degree recognition. Representatives from Liebherr Group and GEDU International GmbH answered directly, helping students better understand the roadmap toward achieving their career aspirations in Europe.
