On the afternoon of January 7, 2026, at the Hachioji Campus of Tokyo University of Technology (TUT), Japan, the Vietnam–Japan Scientific and Cultural Exchange Program between Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) and TUT was officially inaugurated. The opening marked the start of a series of academic and cultural exchange activities from January 7 to January 10, 2026.
Representing the delegation from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Trịnh Ngọc Nam, Head of the Office of Scientific Management and International Cooperation, together with IUH lecturers and students participating in exchange activities, exhibitions, and academic–cultural performances.
On opening day, the program introduced an exhibition and booths in two main areas. The academic space hosted research booths in fields like Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, IT, Environmental Science, Biotechnology, and Food Technology. The cultural space offered coffee, agricultural products, costumes, handicrafts, and creative areas rich in Vietnamese culture.

Organizing the scientific and cultural exchange event at the very beginning of the new year holds special meaning not only marking an important milestone in bilateral cooperation but also demonstrating the long-term commitment and mutual trust between the two institutions as they embark on their shared journey of educational and scientific development. The program is expected to expand in-depth collaborative activities in the future, contributing to knowledge exchange, cultural dissemination, and the strengthening of Vietnam–Japan friendship through cooperation between IUH and TUT.
