Workshop on sharing Mitsui Onnetsu therapy and its application in supporting disease treatment 11-11-2023

On November 11, 2023, a workshop on sharing Mitsui Onnetsu therapy and its application in disease treatment support took place at Hall E4, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH). The event was organized by the Institute of Biotechnology and Food at the University of Industry Ho Chi Minh City in collaboration with Mitsui Onnetsu Joint Stock Company and August Investment and Import Export Promotion Co., Ltd.

The workshop saw the participation of Dr. Nguyen Ba Thanh, Director of the Institute of Biotechnology and Food at IUH, along with representatives from Mitsui Onnetsu Joint Stock Company, including Mr. Masanori Tokuyama - Professional Director and Mr. Hidemichi Minamihama - Sales Director. Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong Giang, Director of August's Investment Promotion and Import Export Co., Ltd., also attended.

The seminar drew an audience of more than 120 attendees, including lecturers, students from both inside and outside the university, medical professionals, and notably, experienced doctors from Go Vap District.

In his opening remarks, Dr. Nguyen Ba Thanh expressed the Institute of Biotechnology and Food's commitment to collaborating with businesses in research and technology transfer to contribute greater value to society. He conveyed the institute's hope for continued partnership with Mitsui Onnetsu Joint Stock Company in the future.

During the seminar, Mr. Masanori Tokuyama introduced the Mitsui Onnetsu Thermotherapy Method, presenting its applications and research outcomes in Japan and other countries. This therapeutic approach gained official recognition in Japan in 1978 when the late Dr. Mitsui Tomeiko (1915-2001) established the Mitsui Onnetsu Therapy Center. In the Q&A session, Mr. Masanori Tokuyama addressed inquiries about thermotherapy methods supporting disease treatment.

As part of the workshop, the Mitsui Onnetsu Thermotherapy Experience Session took place within the framework, attracting 50 participants who provided positive feedback on the session.

The Thermotherapy experience received a lot of positive feedback from participants.

Additionally, as part of the program, Mitsui Onnetsu Joint Stock Company generously contributed several teaching equipment items to support the major of Aesthetic Biotechnology within the Biotechnology Institute. This donation aims to enhance the educational resources available at the Institute of Biotechnology and Food. The ongoing collaboration is reinforced through the implementation of training activities outlined in the memorandum of agreement previously signed between IUH and Mitsui Onnetsu Joint Stock Company.
