Abbreviated name: FCE
Slogan:

The Faculty of Chemical Engineering (FCE) was established in 1999 on the basis of the Department of Chemistry- The College of Industrial Engineering IV. FCE consists of five departments: Department of Chemistry, Department of Machine and Equipment, Department of Analytical Chemistry, Department of Petrochemical and Department of Chemical and Materials Engineeing. There are 70 qualified teaching staffs including 3 associate professors, 18 Ph.Ds, 44 masters and 5 instructors. The FCE realizes that improving the quality of education is an important task and thus, in addition to theoretical teaching methods, lecturers are encouraged to apply many active teaching approaches such as learner-centered instruction, problem based learning and engineering design education. In order to improve the academic performance of students, the FCE arranges each class with an academic supervisor, and in the final year of the undergraduate course, each student carries out a graduation project under the guidance of a supervisor. Moreover, scientific research activities and international cooperation are emphasized.

There is one undergraduate program (Chemical Engineering) and 02 master's degree programs (Chemical Engineering and Analytical Chemistry) offered by the Facutly of Chemical Engineering. Specialized major in the undergradute progamme included organic chemistry technology, Inorganic chemistry technology, and petroleium chemical technology.

FCE has already internalised the mission and vision as follows:

Vision: To become one of the leading research and education centers in the field of Applied Chemical Engineerng in Vietnam

Mission: To provide human resources with high professional qualifications and skills in order to carry out operational requirements, management of production processes, scientific research and technology transfer in the field of Chemical Engineering.
