The XVI Delegation Union Congress of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2023 – 2028 was successful 12-05-2023
On May 11 and 12, 2023, at Hall E4, the Union of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (University Union) held the XVI Congress of Union Delegation term 2023 – 2028.
The Congress evaluated the implementation of the Resolution of the General Assembly for the term 2017-2023 and set out the operation direction in the next term and elected a new Executive Committee with sufficient capacity and qualities to lead the University Union in the coming time.
Trade and Industry Union sent Mr. Phan Van Ban – Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Trade and Industry Union; Ms. Phan Thi Dieu Loan – standing committee member, Head of the Inspection Organizing Committee of the MoIT Union, Ms. Do Thi Thu Nga – standing committee member, Chief of Office of MoIT Union, Mr. Vu Thanh Thai – Head of the Women's Propaganda Department; Ms. Le Thi Thanh Mai – Executive member, Deputy Chief of Office of Vietnam Trade and Industry Union.
IUH sent Mr. Phan Hong Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee, the Rector, teachers in the Party Committee, Rector Board, Heads, Deputy units and 145 delegates representing 1,433 union members.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Phan Van Ban – Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the achievements of IUH Union in the past term. He also conveyed to the Congress that it is necessary to focus on implementing the following key tasks: "
First, the University Party Committee should provide leadership and guidance, aligning with comprehensive educational reforms and effectively implementing the resolution of the Trade and Industry Union; Second, building a dedicated and respected team of union officials within the university is crucial; Third, ensuring the welfare and interests of union members, actively participating in the formulation of policies and regulations that protect their rights; Fourth, emphasizing the development of union members and establishing strong grassroots unions to address emerging issues promptly; Fifth, promoting emulation movements within the university, implementing mechanisms for regular assessment and recognition of achievements; Sixth, electing a new Board of Directors with credibility, capability, and enthusiasm to successfully implement the resolutions of the congress and lead the university union."

Attending the Congress, Mr. Phan Hong Hai – Secretary of the Party Committee, the Rector praised of the University's Trade Union achievements in the past term and agreed with the Summary Report for the term 2017 – 2023 and Orientations for union activities in the term 2023 – 2028. "In the new term, the school leaders call on all union members to improve the sense of responsibility, democracy, intellectual focus, and set specific directions and tasks in the 2023-2028 term into practice. In the new term, the School Union needs to stick to the vision, mission and development goals to participate, contribute and build the school." Dr. Hai emphasized.

During the Congress, the summary report on the implementation of the Resolution of the XV Congress of Unions for the 2017-2023 term was approved. The direction of operational tasks for the School Union in the 2023-2028 term was discussed and agreed upon. Comments were received on the documents of the fifth Congress of Unions for the 2023-2028 term, as well as the documents of the University Union Congress for the 2023-2028 term. Additionally, a report on "union activities in teaching and training" was presented by delegate Tran Thi Hue Chi from the Union Group of the Register Office.
Also at the Congress, participants agreed highly on the personnel scheme of the Union Executive Committee for the term 2023 – 2028. Specifically, the Congress elected the Executive Committee for the term 2023 – 2028 with 09 comrades:

2. Comrade Vo Thi Thu Thuy – Vice Chairman
3. Comrade Nguyen Quan - Member of the Standing Committee
4. Comrade Tran Thi Hue Chi - Member of the Board of Directors

7. Comrade Pham Thi Que Minh - Member of the Board of Directors

And the Congress also elected 02 official delegates to attend the Superior Union Congress, Comrade Le Ngoc Son and Comrade Vo Thi Thu Thuy.
The XVI Congress of Union Deputies of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, term 2023 - 2028 has been successful. The Executive Committee of the new term believes that under the direction of the Vietnam Trade and Industry Union, the Party Committee and the Rector Board will organize the successful implementation of Party Resolutions and Trade Union Congresses at all levels, contributing to the excellent achievement of the set goals, caring for and improving the lives of staff, officials – employees, building a sustainable developed university.
