The 116th AUN-QA Quality Assessment at Programme Level in IUH 11-06-2018
From June 5, 2018 to June 7, 2018, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) was with the ASEAN University Network (AUN) organized the 116th AUN-QA quality assessment at programme level for four programmes: Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering Technology, Electronics Engineering Technology - Communications, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology.

The delegation was led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nantana Gajaseni - Acting Chairperson of AUN-QA, and with assessors from Singapore, Philippines and Thailand. The programme of Environmental Engineering Technology was assessed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tan Kay Chuan from Singapore and Dr. Attachai Ueranantasun from Thailand; the programme of Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology was assessed by Prof. Dr. Arnel Onesimo O. Uy from Philippines and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sompop Prathanturarug from Thailand; the programme of Electronics Engineering Technology – Communications was assessed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Evangeline P. Bautista from Philippines and Assist. Prof. Dr. Ajaree Supasuteekul from Thailand; the programme of Chemical Engineering was assessed by Prof. Dr. Rosemary Seva from Philippines and Prof. Dr. Parames Chutima from Thailand.

To prepare for this assessment, these programmes were initially scheduled in 2016; together with were different activities such as collecting evidence, writing self-assessment reports, and carrying out internal assessment in 2017.
The organizing for assessment this time was highly recognized by the AUN-QA team, especially, in term of preparation, execution, and cooperation among different departments. This made the assessment smoothly and successful completed.

In the closing ceremony on June 7, 2018, the assessors presented short reports that showed strengths and weaknesses of each programme. The assessment results will be sent to IUH in two months by AUN - QA.
The assessment was a chance for academic units to confirm their commitment of assuring programme quality to stakeholders. Also, this assessment helps them identify next strategy to continuously improve and enhance programme quality to meet the increasing needs from stakeholders, especially, from students and employments.
