Signing Ceremony of Establishment and Operation of LOTTE-KOICA-IUH Service Training Center (LKIC) 14-06-2017

The signing ceremony of establishment and operation of LOTTE-KOICA-IUH Service Training Center (LKIC) was held at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) On June 14th, 2017.

Attended to the ceremony are VIP representatives from South Korean Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City, Mr Moon Byung Cheol – Economic Officer, Mr Oh Sung Yup – Chief of Communications of LOTTE Group, Mr Kim Jin Oh – Country Director of KOICA Vietnam office, Dr Lee Tae Joo – President of Re-Shaping Development Institute (ReDI), Mr Le Huu Phuc – Director General of International Cooperation Department, Ministry of Industry and Trade (MoIT); Dr Nguyen Thien Tue – President of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City together with managers, students of the Center.

In the ceremony, all respresentatives of IUH, ReDI, LOTTE, KOICA, MoIT expressed their hopes of fruitful achievement of the project meeting the job demand and retails industry development in Vietnam.

In the ceremony, representatives of KOICA, LOTTE, IUH, MoIT, and ReDI signed Memorandum of Understanding in Cooperation and joined the ribbon-cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of the LOTTE-KOICA-IUH Service Training Center (LKIC).

The establishment and operation of LKIC in Ho Chi Minh City is one of the integral components of ‘Capacity Building Project for Inclusive Development of Vietnam's Distribution Industry’ between the two Governments, and also the achievement of public-private partnership between Government (KOICA, MoIT) and enterprise (LOTTE) and Institution (ReDI). With the purpose of policy making, manpower training, job creating, skill fostering, etc., for the existing employees, the project is expected to promote the development of Vietnam traditional retails industry as well as create opportunity for development of the modern retails industry.   

LKIC is the first center in Vietnam providing training programs for manpowers of retails industry. With a variety in training, closing with labor demand in reality in Vietnam such as communication skills, inventory management, product management, marketing, etc., the Center is expected to provide professional manpowers who completely meets the high demand from Vietnam retails industry.
