Over 3,000 new graduates, including bachelors and engineers, entered the labor market at the 2024 Graduation Ceremony of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City 30-08-2024
From August 23 to August 29, 2024, at Hall E4, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) held a solemn closing ceremony to award bachelor’s and engineering degrees to students who completed their formal training at the university.
The graduation ceremony featured a hat-tossing tradition by the Faculty of Mechanical Technology, symbolizing the end of their academic journey and the beginning of new challenges and aspirations.
The ceremony was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai, Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice Rector; Mr. Pham Quang Tri, Deputy Head of the Training Department; Ms. Tran Thi Hue Chi, Deputy Head of the Academic Affair Office; Dr. Le Ngoc Son, Director of the Institute of International and Postgraduate Training; as well as faculty and department leaders, lecturers, and a large number of new graduates.

According to statistics, in March and July 2024, a total of 3,725 students were eligible to graduate, including 368 at the college level, 117 at the transfer level, and the remainder at the undergraduate level. The University awarded 41 students for outstanding achievements and 611 students for good achievements. The awards for excellent students were 1,500,000 VND each, while those for good students were 1,000,000 VND each, totaling 672,500,000 VND in graduation bonuses. Additionally, the University granted over 600 scholarships to high-achieving students who wish to pursue master's level studies, supporting their continued learning and academic growth.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai, Vice Rector of the University; Dr. Le Ngoc Son, Director of the Institute of International Education and Training; and Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Thuc, Head of the Department of Human Resource Management, Faculty of Business Administration, presented degrees, awards, and scholarships to students who excelled in their graduation.
During these significant days, a large number of parents, relatives, and friends of the new graduates attended the ceremony to offer their congratulations at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.
During the event, Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong warmly congratulated the new bachelors and engineers on successfully completing their training and being recognized as graduates of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. He also expressed gratitude to the parents for their trust and support over the past four years. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai added, “The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City is among the top 10 institutions with the best training facilities in Vietnam. Our students have every reason to be proud and confident as IUH alumni, celebrating their achievements and the prestige of our institution.”

Ms. Nong Thi Giang, an outstanding graduate in Marketing, expressed her deep emotions as she reflected on her four-year journey at IUH. She shared, "Looking back, I am convinced that choosing this school and pursuing my career here was the right decision. At the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, I had the opportunity to study a major I am passionate about, thanks to the dedicated guidance of my teachers. Our success today is also due to the silent sacrifices of our founders who supported us behind the scenes. On behalf of my classmates, I extend our heartfelt gratitude to our parents and teachers. While it takes only a moment to capture a graduation photo, it took us four years of hard work and dedication. Let us take pride in our achievements and continue to strive to honor the immense support from our parents and teachers."

At the ceremony, Huynh Tan Bao from the Institute of Finance and Accounting, who completed the university program in just three years with outstanding achievements, was deeply moved. He shared, “Reaching this point today is not only the result of my own efforts and perseverance but also the invaluable support from my teachers and parents. Their guidance has shaped us into individuals equipped with the knowledge and confidence to embrace new challenges.”
Mr. Nguyen Trung Nghia, a graduate of the Faculty of Automotive Engineering, Technology and Faculty of Electrical Technology, also represented the new engineers to express their feelings during their years at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City
Huynh Tan Bao's parents shared, “Our family lives in Ben Tre, so we had to leave early to ensure we arrived on time for the ceremony. We were both nervous and excited for this day. We had long anticipated this moment, and it was a pleasant surprise that Bao completed the program in just three years through his hard work and dedication. As Bao's sister, I am incredibly proud. Today, along with our immediate family, our parents are also here to celebrate this significant milestone with us.”
