Outstanding IUH students advance to the finals of the VII SV_STARTUP competition 28-02-2025
The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) is proud to announce that two promising student projects have successfully advanced to the final round of the 7th "Students with Startup Ideas" (SV_STARTUP) competition.
The SV_STARTUP contest, organized by the Ministry of Education and Training, aims to foster entrepreneurial spirit and equip students with essential knowledge and skills for entrepreneurship.
This marks the fifth consecutive year that IUH has participated in the SV_STARTUP final round. The university takes pride in its ECO-HOUSE project, which won First Prize in the student category during the 5th "Students with Startup Ideas" contest.
Recently, the Ministry of Education and Training announced the TOP 80 projects that qualified for the Training Round, Voting Round, and Final Round of the 7th SV_STARTUP contest. Among these, two IUH student projects advanced to the Sustainability Round. The projects include:
Project 1: Electric Boats for Sea Ecosystem's Future — A green cruise ship ecosystem that emits zero CO₂, focusing on fields such as education, health, culture, and tourism. This pioneering project promotes sustainable tourism and marine environment protection. Notably, it reached the pre-incubation round of the GIC 2024 contest, organized by the Department of Science and Technology of Ho Chi Minh City, affirming its significant development potential

Project 2: Future Materials from Durian Peels — This innovative project falls under the industrial sector, showcasing breakthroughs and creativity in utilizing agricultural waste to create environmentally friendly materials. It stands out as one of the excellent projects, having won 3rd prize at the InnoGreenLife 2023–2024 contest held by the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City.

The success of the two outstanding projects that advanced to the final round of the 7th "Students with Startup Ideas" contest reflects the entrepreneurial spirit and continuous creativity of IUH students.
According to the Ministry of Education and Training, the 7th "Students with Startup Ideas" contest serves as a platform to support students in scientific research, digital transformation, and commercialization, helping to develop startup projects within higher education institutions. It also promotes STEM education activities at the secondary level, enhancing the quality of teaching by linking learning with practical applications.
In 2025, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City will continue to host the InnoGreenLife contest, aiming to nurture young IUH talents in researching and developing innovative, eco-friendly solutions.
The InnoGreenLife 2024–2025 contest is unfolding with several key highlights:
- The Semi-Final Round took place from March 17 to April 12, 2025, where 30 innovative ideas/projects were selected.
- The Final Round, held from May 2 to May 12, 2025, will determine the 10 best teams.
- Participants receive in-depth training on Design Thinking, business models, marketing, and pitching, aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial skills.
- The jury panel features leading experts from prestigious businesses across various industries.
InnoGreenLife 2024–2025 offers a golden opportunity for IUH students and young entrepreneurs passionate about startups to turn their ideas into reality and contribute to building a greener, more sustainable future.
