Opening Ceremony for the AUN-QA Quality Assessment of the master's training program 27-05-2024

On the morning of May 27, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) hosted the External Quality Assessment Opening Ceremony for the 381st AUN-QA Quality Assessment at program level by the Quality Assurance Council of the Southeast Asian University Network (AUN). Following the success of the 353rd AUN Quality Assessment, four training units have successfully registered and fully prepared the requirements for four master's training programs of IUH: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Resources and Environmental Management, Chemical Engineering.

On the side of IUH, there was Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu - Vice Rector of the University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai - Vice Rector of the University, Dr. Duong Cong Truyen – Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Mechanical Technology, Dr. Le Nhat Duy - Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Nguyen Minh An - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Chemical Technology and representatives of leaders of functional units, along with the presence of 33 traineess participating in the 16th assessor training course (Tier 2) of AUN-QA.

At the 381st AUN-QA Assessment, IUH registered four master's programs: Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Resources and Environmental Management, and Chemical Engineering. The evaluation is taking place from May 27, 2024, to May 29, 2024.

Speaking at the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu, Vice Rector of the University, emphasized the importance and significance of accrediting and assessing the quality of the University's training programs. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu expressed his best wishes and gratitude and appreciated the role of AUN, especially the presence of many prestigious and leading experts in the fields, who will support the University in improving the quality of its training programs. He highlighted the University's mission to provide high-quality human resources and scientific research to serve the community.

According to the plan, the AUN-QA assessment team will conduct various professional activities such as: Surveying and researching documents, self-assessment reports and accompanying evidence; Interviewing stakeholders; Conducting field surveys and evaluating all conditions in terms of facilities, services, means to support training and scientific research, etc. The 381st AUN QA Assessment at program level not only helps the University improve and enhance its quality, but also provides an opportunity for Tier 2 trainees to have useful practical experiences.
