Official assessment of six training programs at IUH following circular 04/2016/TT-BGDDT (MOET) 15-01-2025
The Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, has conducted an official assessment of six training programs at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH). These include the Master’s program in Business Administration, Bachelor's programs in Business Administration, Marketing, Tourism and Travel Service Management, International Business, and the Engineering program in Land Management.

From January 10 to 14, 2024, the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi (VNU-CEA), along with the External Assessment Delegation, conducted an official evaluation of six training programs at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City in accordance with Circular 04/2016/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training. This marks IUH’s first training program assessment in 2025.
The survey was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan, Deputy Director of the Center; Prof. Dr. Nguyen Huu Duc, Former Deputy Director of Vietnam National University, Hanoi, and Head of the Assessment Team; along with experts from various prestigious universities across the country.
Welcoming the VNU-CEA and the External Assessment Delegation (EIA) were Assoc. Prof. Dr. Huynh Trung Hieu, Vice Rector of the University and Vice Chairman of the Self-Assessment Council for the six training programs; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dam Sao Mai, Vice Rector; Dr. Nguyen Xuan Hong, Vice Rector; along with leaders of relevant departments, units, and faculties involved in the assessment.

This commitment is reflected in the development of training programs aligned with societal needs, the enhancement of teaching and research quality, community engagement, and investment in modern facilities." Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ta Thi Thu Hien, Director of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, commended the university for its thorough preparation for the assessment. This marks the third collaboration between VNU-CEA and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. The External Assessment Delegation was impressed by the university’s remarkable growth and highlighted its significant achievements, including its strong performance in prestigious global rankings.

Over four official working days, the External Assessment Delegation conducted a comprehensive evaluation through various activities, including reviewing documents, self-assessment reports, and supporting evidence. The team also carried out field surveys to assess the university’s facilities, services, and resources for training and research. Additionally, they conducted interviews with key stakeholders of the evaluated training programs, including faculty leaders, department heads, lecturers, students, support staff, alumni, and employers.

At the closing session, the Expert delegation presented the preliminary survey results. Their report outlined key findings and provided recommendations for enhancing the quality of each training program based on the Ministry of Education and Training's assessment standards. Additionally, the delegation offered suggestions for overall improvements to the university's operations.

On behalf of the Center for Education Quality Accreditation – Vietnam National University, Hanoi, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dinh Van Toan acknowledged and highly valued the scientific evaluation methods and processes used by the Expert Delegation. He praised their responsible, objective, and dedicated approach in reviewing evidence, conducting preliminary and official surveys, and providing assessments and recommendations for quality improvement at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. Dr. Toan affirmed the university’s pioneering role in quality accreditation and expressed gratitude to IUH, its faculties, and relevant units for their effective collaboration in providing information and evidence, particularly essential documents, which contributed significantly to the success of the survey. He also expressed a strong desire to continue fostering effective cooperation between both sides in the field of quality assurance in the future.
At the conclusion of the Closing Session, the External Assessment Delegation, the Center for Education Quality Accreditation, and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City signed the official record, marking the completion of the external assessment survey for the university’s training programs.

Through an official survey, the Expert Delegation highly praised the quality of six training programs at the master's, engineering, and bachelor's levels. They highlighted key strengths, such as the diverse integration of theory and practice in teaching activities, a blend of in-person and online learning, and graduation internship reports and projects that closely address real-world issues.
Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) consistently strives for innovation and quality improvement in all aspects, with quality assurance being a core focus of its development strategy. Thanks to the collective efforts of its faculty and staff, IUH has achieved significant milestones. The university now has 45 training programs accredited by both domestic and international organizations, including six programs recognized for quality assurance in their second accreditation cycle.
Additionally, in 2024, IUH was honored to be ranked among Asia’s top 501-520 universities and 87th among Southeast Asia’s best universities. The university also received the QS award for outstanding ranking achievements in 2025. IUH is committed to strengthening its quality assurance team, with four faculty members currently holding accreditor certifications issued by the Ministry of Education and Training.
These accomplishments continue to motivate the IUH community to further enhance quality assurance and academic excellence.
