Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship Award Ceremony for the academic year 2022 - 2023 and honoring the Outstanding Family in 2023 12-08-2023
To celebrate the 94th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam union (28/7/1929 – 28/7/2023), in order to recognize typical families as well as children of officials and employees with outstanding achievements in learning, the Union of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City organized the ceremony of awarding Nguyen Duc Canh scholarship for the academic year 2022 – 2023 and honoring outstanding typical families in 2023. The ceremony was held solemnly in Hall E4 on the morning of August 11, 2023.
Attending the ceremony, the Party Committee - School Board, sent Mr. Huynh Trung Hieu - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of IUH; Ms. Dam Sao Mai – Party Member, Vice Rector of IUH; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of IUH; Mr. Pham Trung Kien – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of Human Resources and Administration Office; Mr. Hoang Do – Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Head of Political Work and Student Support Department.
Representatives of the school's Union included Mr. Le Ngoc Son – Chairman of the University Union; Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy – Vice President of the University Union; Mr. Nguyen Quan - Standing Member of the Union; Ms. Tran Thi Hue Chi – Head of the Women Workers Committee with lecturers in the Executive Committee of the Union, Head of the grassroots Union. The sponsors include Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hien - Head of Mega Lifesciences representative office. In particular, the ceremony welcomed nearly 800 children of officials and employees of the university.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Le Ngoc Son – Chairman of the University Union commended the children for their good achievements and wished them to continue striving for better learning; At the same time, he wished parents spend more time to take better care of their children.

This year, the university union has awarded more than 800 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships to children with good academic achievements in the academic year 2022 – 2023. Among the recipients, there are 11 students who have earned scholarships for their outstanding achievements in international and national competitions. Additionally, the awards extend to 388 primary level students, 283 exceptional secondary level students, and 163 high school students demonstrating remarkable excellence.

Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship is an annual traditional activity of the University Union to recognize the academic and training achievements of children with good and excellent academic achievements during a school year, and continue to encourage them to strive to be good children and good games so that parents can feel secure in their work, contribute to building happy families and preserving the tradition of lack of education of the Vietnamese nation.
Also in the ceremony, 03 families were commended as outstanding typical families, including: the family of Mr. Giang Thanh Toan (Faculty of Information Technology) – Ms. Dang Tran Anh Mai (Faculty of Business Administration), the family of Mr. Van Hong Thien (Institute of Biotechnology & Food) – Ms. Huynh Nguyen Tuong An (Institute of International and Postgraduate Training), Ms. Nguyen Hoang My's family (Institute of Science and Technology and Environmental Management).
The families of Mr. Giang Thanh Toan and Ms. Dang Tran Anh Mai are nominated for the outstanding family in 2023.
