More than 800 Nguyen Duc Canh scholarships were awarded to students at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City for the 2023–2024 academic year. 02-08-2024
On the morning of August 2, 2024, just before the new academic year began, the Standing Committee of the Labor Union of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held the Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship Award Ceremony for the 2023–2024 academic year. The event also honored outstanding families of 2024, recognizing children of public employees and exemplary families.
The ceremony featured a musical performance to kick off the program and was attended by Mr. Huynh Trung Hieu - Standing Member of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University; Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong - Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Vice Rector of the University.
Representatives of the school's Labor Union included Mr. Le Ngoc Son – Chairman of the school's Labor Union; Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy – Vice President of the University's Labor Union; Ms. Tran Thi Hue Chi – Head of the Women's Committee and teachers in the Executive Committee of the Labor Union, Head of the Grassroots Labor Union. The ceremony was also attended by leaders of various University units, over 800 children of university officials and employees, and four exemplary families for 2024.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Vo Thi Thu Thuy, Vice President of the Labor Union, commended the students for their dedication to their studies and their exemplary behavior, emphasizing their role as future leaders of the country. She noted that the Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship has become a key and ongoing initiative of the Standing Committee of the Labor Union at the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City. This effort fosters connection and solidarity among union members, employees, and the Labor Union, while also encouraging and inspiring students to overcome challenges and achieve academic excellence.

Representatives of the Rector’s Board presented awards to four outstanding families of 2024 at the head office. Additionally, the School Labor Union distributed scholarships and gifts to students receiving the Nguyen Duc Canh Scholarship for the 2023–2024 school year.
