Mitsubishi Electric handed over automation equipment to the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City 25-12-2020

On the morning of December 23, 2020, the Handover ceremony of Mitsubishi Electric's automation equipment to the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology - IUH, took place at Hall E4.

Attending the Handover ceremony, representing Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, there were Mr. Shigeo Kuroki (General Manager of Factory Automation Division) and Mr. Le Van Dong (Deputy General Manager Factory Automation Planning Department). The representative of Hong Thinh Company is Mr. Bui Huu Phuoc (Director of the company). On IUH's side, there were Dr. Phan Hong Hai (Rector of the University), Mr. Pham Trung Kien (Head of Office of Human Resources and Administration), Mr. Le Dinh Vu (Director of Student Counseling and Support Center), and leaders, lecturers and students of the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology.

At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Hong Hai reviewed the cooperation process between Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam and the university since 2005. Mitsubishi Electric's cohesion and sponsorship had supported the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology in training highly skilled students in the Automation field. The Rector also hoped that the bond between the company and the IUH, in general, and the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology, in particular, would continue to maintain and develop more and more steadily. On behalf of the University Board of Rectors, Dr. Phan Hong Hai expressed gratitude to Mitsubishi Electric for always accompanying IUH lecturers and students.

On behalf of Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam, Mr. Shigeo Kuroki congratulated IUH on the development in recent years and expressed his confidence in IUH's success and growth in the coming years. He also hoped that the closer cooperation between Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam and IUH would improve its teaching quality.


Dr. Phan Hong Hai received funding from Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam.

The total value of the handover Mitsubishi Automation Equipment was worth nearly 600 million VND. This grant would help students of the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology have the opportunity to study, research, and access the latest technologies and techniques in the automation field.


Students of the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology demonstrated experimental models built on products sponsored by the Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam and the Hong Thinh Company.

Also, in the program of the Handover ceremony, experts from Mitsubishi Electric Vietnam presented a seminar: Mitsubishi Electric robotics, which provides students with the needs, solutions, as well as technology in the field of robotics. Nearly 300 final-year students of the IUH Faculty of Electrical Engineering Technology enthusiastically followed and actively participated in seminars.
