IUH welcomes big festival 23-05-2021

Joining the eager atmosphere of voters across the country to vote for the 15th National Assembly deputies and the People's Councils at all levels for the term 2021 - 2026, on May 23, 2021, The Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) in collaboration with the People's Committee of Ward 4 - Go Vap District organized the polling site Number 035.

At exactly 7 a.m. on Sunday, May 23, 2021, polling site 035 held the opening in a lively, exhilarating atmosphere and ensuring formal rituals. Attending the opening ceremony, on behalf of the People's Committee of Ward 4, there were Ms. Do Ngoc Han - Party Committee member, Chairperson of Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee ward 4, Go Vap. Representative of IUH is Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hong – Vice Rector of IUH. On behalf of the Organizing Committee of polling site number 035, Ms. Le Thi Mai – Head of the Organizing Committee disseminated the announced election regulations to voters, helping voters understand and implement correctly when participating in the vote.

Voters take preventive measures before participating in voting

The election took place at the right time when the Covid-19 epidemic was complicated, to ensure safe and successful election implementation, IUH has actively implemented measures to strengthen epidemic prevention measures at the polling place. Before going to the polls, all voters must make a prescribed medical declaration. The voting area at IUH also fully prepares medical supplies such as masks, antiseptic water, thermometers to serve election team members and voters. The delegate referral area is also divided into separate booths, to ensure that voters can follow safety information.

Polling station at IUH hosted 435 voters who are IUH students staying at the dorm. The voters were all very young, aged ranging from 19 to 22. It was the first time they performed their cicil rights and obligations, so they were very eager and proud. The election work took place quickly and seriously, ensuring the law and the strict implementation of the prevention of covid-19 epidemic.
