IUH team achieved high results at Student Mathematics Olympiad 2023 14-04-2023

Congratulations to the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) team for excelling in winning many high prizes at the National Student Mathematics Olympiad 2023.

This year's contest took place from April 2 to 8 at Hue University of Education, with the participation of 84 delegations and more than 600 students. The contest consisted of 2 independent subjects: Algebra and Calculus with a total of 713 registrations.

At this 29th National Student Mathematics Olympiad, IUH team participated in all 2 events - achieving a total of 8 medals, including 1 Silver and 7 Bronze.

That impressive achievement was the result of the intensive efforts from both lecturers and students in the context of both studying and participating in the main course. It is worth mentioning the efforts of the teaching staff including Mr. Trinh Thanh Son, Mr. Le Phuc Lu, Mr. Luu Giang Nam of the Department of Data Science, Faculty of Information Technology.

"The Vietnam Student Mathematics Olympiad is an attractive and meaningful playground for young people who love Math. Held annually, this is an important contest to assess and improve the Mathematics ability of students nationwide. The contest also contributes to promoting the Math learning movement of IUH students in general and Data Science students. With a solid foundation in Mathematics, it will help students enter in-depth research and go further on the path to conquer human knowledge" - Mr. Nguyen Huu Tinh, Lecturer in Data Science Department of IUH's IT Department, emphasized.

Also from the playground of the Vietnamese Mathematics Olympiad, students of the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City have even greater ambitions to step into the international arena at the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMC) in the following years.

In addition to the Vietnam Student Mathematics Olympiad, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City also focuses on activities to develop students' research and deep learning capacity.
