IUH Supports the Young Generation: Lê Minh Quân Honored Among 47 Outstanding Students by the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade. 19-08-2025
For many years, the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has not only been a source of encouragement for staff and employees. Still, it has also placed special attention on nurturing the younger generation – the nation’s future. Among the 47 outstanding students recognized this year by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour has Lê Minh Quân, the son of an IUH faculty member.
Honoring and Supporting the Young Generation
On the morning of August 16, 2025, at Ba Đình Square, the delegation of the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade solemnly held a tribute ceremony to President Ho Chi Minh, reporting on its achievements in family affairs, childcare, and education. The delegation from IUH’s Vietnam General Confederation of Labour was in attendance.
Earlier, following the Nguyễn Đức Cảnh Scholarship Award Ceremony at the university, the IUH Vietnam General Confederation of Labour selected an outstanding student to represent the children of staff and employees at the national commendation ceremony organized by the Vietnam Industry and Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Standing out among thousands of nominations nationwide, Lê Minh Quân – son of Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thúy Cường, lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Political Science – was honored in the category of Outstanding Children of Staff and Workers with National and International Achievements. His impressive record includes: Consolation Prize at the National Young Informatics Contest 2024; Silver Medal in the Non-IT Major Category at the National Finals of the 5th Central Highlands–Central Vietnam Olympic in Informatics 2024; Champion of Division B at the National Finals of the 2024 Young Informatics Talent Search; Bronze Medal at the Vietnam Titan Mathematics Olympiad (VTMO) 2024; and several other awards, including participation in higher-level competitions despite being only a 6th-grade student. For these remarkable efforts and achievements, Lê Minh Quân was awarded a Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade – a source of pride for his family and a testament to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour ’s commitment to encouraging and supporting young talent.
IUH Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Presents 150 Branded Backpacks
At the commendation ceremony for outstanding families and children of staff and workers who achieved national and international awards, as well as students overcoming hardship in the 2024–2025 academic year, the IUH Vietnam General Confederation of Labour presented 150 backpacks bearing the IUH brand to honored students. Though modest, the gift carried deep meaning, reflecting the university’s practical support for families and its encouragement of the younger generation’s educational journey.
These achievements highlight the IUH Vietnam General Confederation of Labour ’s strong role in caring for and protecting the legitimate rights of staff and employees while nurturing and honoring young talent. This embodies the spirit of the Vietnam Industry and Vietnam General Confederation of Labour ’s directives and affirms IUH’s social responsibility in its sustainable development strategy.
