IUH Students Triumph Again, Clinching Championship Title at MECA CUP 2025 12-07-2025
Surpassing 140 competing teams from 14 universities nationwide—including formidable opponents such as Hanoi University of Science and Technology and Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology (VNU-HCM)—the NexCore team from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH), has claimed the national championship title for the second consecutive year at the Mitsubishi Electric Cup Automation – MECA 2025.
The national final took place on July 12 at the HUTECH High-Quality Human Resources Training Center, where 21 finalist teams presented their projects and answered questions from a judging panel composed of leading experts, professors, and corporate representatives. Following the presentations, the organizers scored the projects and selected the Top 6 teams to compete for the prestigious awards.
Demonstrating outstanding performance and innovation, the NexCore team from IUH’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering emerged as national champions with their project titled: “Automated Electronic Component Mounting Machine Using Surface Mount Technology (SMT)”.
Back-to-back champions! The MECA Cup trophy returns once again to IUH’s Faculty of Electrical Engineering.
