IUH maintain high rankings in Webometrics Rankings 2022 08-02-2022
Webometrics has just released its January 2022 ranking. Accordingly, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City maintains the 6th position among universities in Vietnam. This is the second year in a row that IUH has reached the top 10 of this ranking.
According to Webometrics' ranking results published in January 2022, Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City was ranked 1,884 best universities in the world, ranked 6th out of 178 universities in Vietnam. This result demonstrates an active and synchronous implementation effort for solutions such as increasing account numbers and science research citing on Google Scholar; Increase the frequency and quality of news, articles and images on the website; Increase the connection and link to news and articles on the websites of affiliated units, domestic and foreign partners...; increase the publication of international scientific indicators in the ISI system, SCOPUS with many new and valuable research results; improve the quality of the Journal of Science and Technology; promote the use of E-learning system and develop the university's digital library and e-lectures.
In recent years, IUH has focused constantly on improving the quality of training and scientific research at the university. IUH is currently in the TOP 601+ best universities in Asia (QS Ranking), achieving 4 QS Star; 12 accredited training programs met AUN-QA standards, 6 being evaluated according to ABET standards.
Webometrics is a ranking that assesses digital transformation capacity and excellence in international publication on the Scopus and Google Scholar systems of higher education institutions worldwide.
The ranking criteria include:
- Impact index (Impact level) accounting for 50%, measures the spread of the website and digital resources of higher education institutions.
- The Excellence Index accounting for 40%, measures 10% of the most cited articles in Scopus's 27 publishing fields.
- The Openness Index accounting for 10%, measures the citations of the top 210 authors of higher education institutions on the Google Scholar system.
