In the solemn atmosphere of celebrating the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South and the reunification of the country (April 30, 1975 – April 30, 2025), the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) has actively organized and participated in numerous meaningful activities, reflecting the spirit of patriotism, national pride, and the desire of the youth to contribute in the new era.

IUH Students - Proudly Participating in the Grand Festival of the Nation

More than 600 students from the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City have enthusiastically and proudly participated in a series of activities to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Liberation Day of the South and the reunification of the country, in collaboration with various units and departments in Ho Chi Minh City.
Notably, 120 IUH students will perform special acts as part of the program "Vang Mãi Khúc Khải Hoàn," organized by the Central Propaganda and People's Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. The event will take place on the evening of April 27 at Saigon Riverside Park, Thu Duc City, and will be broadcast live on VTV1.

Not stopping there, nearly 500 other students took part in an impressive concert at Nguyen Hue Walking Street on the evening of April 30, one of the country’s major cultural events that attracted the attention of numerous locals and tourists. IUH students immersed themselves in a vibrant atmosphere of training and rehearsal, showcasing their enthusiasm and dedication.

Under the scorching Saigon sun, the young people's footsteps remain steady, and sweat continues to fall, yet it cannot diminish the fire of enthusiasm in their hearts. For them, being part of the journey of historical gratitude and sharing the values of national traditions is a great honor.

Le Nguyen Xuan An, a second-year student from the Faculty of Foreign Languages at IUH, was among the volunteers supporting logistics and security coordination at the A50 event. Reflecting on this meaningful journey, An shared emotionally:

I started taking on responsibilities from April 19 and will continue through April 30 - a sacred period in our nation’s history. Although most activities take place in the evening, I’ve done my best to manage my time so that my studies aren’t affected. I signed up through a registration link from the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union, driven by wholehearted enthusiasm and genuine patriotism.

Even though I wasn’t placed in the same group as my fellow IUH students, I never felt alone. Around me were hundreds, even thousands of other volunteers - new friends standing shoulder to shoulder, all with a shared spirit of dedication and love for the country.”

Wearing the symbolic blue volunteer shirt, An felt a deep sense of pride in contributing to the security and success of a national event.

Though my role may be just a small grain of sand in the vast sea of history, being part of this moment - contributing to the nation's heroic picture - means that my youth has been lived fully and meaningfully.”

The vibrant red of the national flag proudly adorns every doorway at IUH

The festive atmosphere is not only reflected in large-scale events but also vibrantly expressed throughout the IUH campus. From the lobby of Building H to Building E, hundreds of red flags with golden stars proudly flutter, infusing the campus with national spirit. At the Student Dormitory, each doorway becomes a striking focal point, adorned in the colors of the national flag - creating a radiant and proud display of patriotism.

The moment air force soldiers soared across the sky above the IUH Dormitory was captured in a striking display of patriotism. This creative idea was initiated by Mr. Ha Huu Tai - staff member of the Information and Communication Center - who, together with IUH students, brought it to life with heartfelt dedication. “Fifty years is a profoundly meaningful milestone in our nation’s history - not everyone gets the chance to witness it in their lifetime,” Tai shared. “I worked with students in the dormitory to develop and realize this idea, pouring in our passion and national pride. What makes me happiest is seeing how the image has resonated with so many people.”

In the lobby of Dormitory H, pages from history books were thoughtfully arranged to recreate the spirit of a once-intense battlefield - a vivid reminder of a glorious victory that, even after five decades, continues to live on in the hearts of every Vietnamese citizen.

Peace is beautiful, isn't it?

In addition to outdoor parades and art performances, IUH organized the concert "IUH Sing & Share" with the theme "Peace is beautiful, isn’t It?" on the evening of April 25 at the E Building campus. Featuring timeless revolutionary songs, the program served as a heartfelt bridge between generations - an opportunity to express deep gratitude and remind IUH students of the immense sacrifices and losses made by their forefathers.

These meaningful events help preserve the nation's heroic legacy while igniting a lasting inspiration in future generations - nurturing courageous, intelligent, and proud Vietnamese citizens.
