IUH hosts a traditional meeting on the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day on November 20 20-11-2020
On the afternoon of November 19, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City held a traditional meeting ceremony on the Vietnamese Teacher's Day 20/11.
Attending the ceremony, the University is pleased to welcome Mr. Nguyen Quang Huy - Deputy Director General of Agency for Southern Affairs of Ministry of Industry and Trade; Mr. Quach Van Ngoc - Vice Chairman of Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade (NUWIT); Mr. Vo Van Yen and Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tho - Deputy Secretaries of the Party Committee of the Block of Ministry of Industry and Trade; together with leaders of departments, central and local organizations and units, lecturers who were leaders of the University over generations, and all the current lecturers, officials and employees of the University. Particularly, there was an online participation session of Mr. Samuel Ang, the Asia Regional Director of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Intelligence Unit.

On the occasion of Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11, on behalf of the Party Committee and leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Tran Tuan Anh - Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade, sent congratulatory letters to all lecturers, officials, and employees of the University.

In the congratulatory speech for the Vietnam Teachers' Day 20/11, Mr. Phan Hong Hai - Secretary of the Party Committee, Rector of IUH praised the achievements that IUH lecturers and students had accomplished. The achievements were important foundations to create favorable conditions for the University to perform better in the coming academic year. Accordingly, IUH's most fundamental goal is to improve the quality of training and international integration, striving that by 2023, the entire University's training programs will be assessed and verified according to the AUN-QA and ABET standards.

At the ceremony, Mr. Samuel Ang, Asia Regional Director of Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) Intelligence Unit, congratulated the University on the ranking results that the University has achieved in the Ranking of top Asian universities - QS Asia Top University Ranking in 2021. IUH is honored to be in the Ranking of 601+ best universities in Asia. It is a ranking of international and regional universities with objective evaluation criteria, based on the universities' internal strengths, scientific research, and the support and recommendation of academics and enterprises. In the program framework, on orders of the President and the Prime Minister, the Minister of Industry and Trade represented leaders of Ministry of Industry and Trade to award the Second Class of Labor Order to an individual, Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister for an individual, Certificate of Merit from the Minister of Ministry of Industry and Trade for 1 unit, 28 individuals and 34 Emulation soldiers of Ministry of Industry and Trade.

At the ceremony, Mrs. Nguyen Thi Thanh Mai - Deputy Chief of Vietnam National Union of Workers in Industry and Trade (NUWIT) announced the commendation decisions of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the NUWIT for 5 excellent groups and 4 outstanding individuals in the University Union’s activities in the academic year 2019 - 2020.
The University Union was honored to be awarded the Excellent Emulation Flag of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor
In addition, the University rewarded individuals who were honored as the Outstanding Young Teachers and the Young - Excellent - Friendly Officers in the academic year 2019-2020.
