On February 4th, the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City (IUH) held a ceremony to announce the decision to appoint Professors (Prof.) and Associate Professors (Assoc. Prof. ) in 2021.

At the ceremony, Dr. Phan Hong Hai (Rector of IUH) awarded the decision to appoint the Associate Professor title to 3 IUH lecturers, including Dr. Tran Nguyen Minh An (Dean of Faculty of Chemical Engineering), Dr. Nguyen Thanh Binh (Lecturer of Institute of Environmental Science, Engineering and Management), and Dr. Chau Minh Thuyen (Head of Division of Base of Electrical Engineering).

At the ceremony, the Rector of IUH also awarded the decision to appoint Professor and Associate Professor titles for 4 lecturers who recently moved to the University, including Prof.Dr. Tran Dinh Thang (Director of the Institute of Biotechnology and Food Technology - transferred from Vinh University), Prof.Dr. Nguyen Van Cong (Lecturer of Faculty of Accounting and Auditing - transferred from National Economics University), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Minh Phu (Lecturer of Faculty Of Heat – Refrigeration Engineering - transferred from University of Technology Ho Chi Minh City) and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tran Quoc Thinh (Lecturer of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing - transferred from the Banking University HCMC). Thus, in 2021, the IUH's teaching staff would have 2 more Professors and 5 more Associate Professors.

Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Phan Hong Hai (Rector of IUH) emphasized that the accreditation of standards and appointment of Professors and Associate Professors was a great and important policy of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the Government of Vietnam to build, foster and employ the leading human resources in science by national, regional and international standards.

According to Dr. Phan Hong Hai, this policy also creates a basis for defining roles, responsibilities, and directions for staff and lecturers in IUH's development strategy. Therefore, the University clearly determines the importance of the team of Professors and Associate Professors in training, scientific research, and community service activities. Thereby, the University will gradually improve the quality of training, affirm the University's position in the education of high-quality human resources for the Industry of Trading in particular and society in general.
