"Information Forum on Higher Education and Scholarship Opportunities in Hungary" at IUH 08-11-2022
On 30/10, at Hall E4, IUH cooperated with the Hungarian Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City and Tempus Foundation (Hungary) organized the program "Information Forum on Higher Education and Scholarship Opportunities in Hungary".
The program attendees included Ms. Szilvia Szojka - Consul General of Hungary in Ho Chi Minh City. Mr. Dương Trí Dũng – Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Ms. Đàm Sao Mai – Vice Rector of IUH and representatives of Bến Tre and Tiền Giang Department of Education and Training and a large number of students from universities, and high school in the City. In addition, the event welcomed representatives of 06 Hungarian universities: Budapest Business School, Semmelweis University, ELTE University, Szeged University, Miskolc University, Metropolitan University and Óbuda University.

Speaking at the opening of the program, Mr. Dương Trí Dũng highly appreciated Hungary's support to Vietnam in the field of education and human resource training since the establishment of official diplomatic relations in 1950 by training thousands of officials and engineers and many of them are holding important positions in the socio-economy of Vietnam. He hoped that in the near future, there will be more introductory events and educational exchanges, further developing the potential for multifaceted cooperation between Vietnam and Hungary.

Ms. Szilvia Szojka gave a brief introduction to Hungarian education and the development history of the Vietnamese student community in Hungary under the Stippendum Hungaricum scholarship program from 2016 until now. According to Szilvia Szojka, studying abroad is a wonderful life experience and it can completely change your life. This is both a challenge and an opportunity for students to develop themselves. On the other hand, studying abroad in an international community is a way to meet and interact with new friends from different countries. This helps international students increase their ability to communicate and reach out to new people, new places and new ideas.

At the program, representatives of Tempus education organization and 06 universities from Hungary introduced in detail about their training programs, expertise, curriculum as well as scholarship registration procedures for students through the Q&A section and through the introductory booths of schools as well as Tempus Education organization.
