The Faculty of Accounting - Auditing of Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City has long been recognized and appreciated by employers. The quality of training of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing is not only prestigious throughout the country, it is also recognized by the Association of Accountants - Auditors in the world.

Application-oriented with international standard training program

The training programs of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing are built in an application-oriented way, based on the advice, consultation and patronage of economic, education, businesses, auditing companies’ experts, Accounting - Accounting Career Associations, domestic and foreign leading universities. That is why the program must be very flexible, both suitable for the Vietnamese environment and developing according to the general trend of the world. The highlight of the training program is the high practical application. Students are trained to perform professional jobs in the information technology environment through a lot of specialized software during their time at the school and practical internships during the last 01 academic year of the course. So they adapt very well to the working environment of the business on graduation. According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Thu Hien, head of the Faculty of Accounting and Auditing, "The Faculty's development of the training program closely follows the reality and the set of international standards to help students have a superior advantage in approaching work when they graduate and develop their future careers."

IUH Accounting and Auditing Simulation Center is the most modern simulation center in the country

In 2020, the accounting and auditing training program at IUH has been accredited to AUN - QA standards (AUN-QA is a set of standards with a lot of strict rules on quality, clear and specific criteria and focus on evaluating the quality assurance conditions of the whole training program. AUN - QA belongs to the Southeast Asian University Network). Most recently, in March 2022, the Faculty was evaluated by the Australian Association of Certified Public Accountants, recognizing the Bachelor of Accounting - Auditing training program that meets the basic requirements. Thanks to this result, upon completion of the application for membership, graduates of this program of the Faculty will be prioritized to be considered as a reserve member (ASA) of Australian CPA. Graduates only need to complete 06 specialized level subjects and meet the requirement of the number of years of experience to be considered for full membership of this institution. IUH is one of the top 5% of universities in Vietnam with a bachelor's degree in accounting that achieved a similar assessment from CPA Australia.

Resourceful academic playground

The access and transmission of specialized knowledge is not limited only in the lecture hall, between teachers and students, but the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing also creates exchanges between businesses, seniors who have been doing work related to accounting - auditing and students of the Faculty.

Every year, the Faculty has presided over and co-organized with organizations, businesses and professional associations to conduct seminars and conferences to discuss issues related to accounting and auditing. For example, the seminar was organized by the Faculty of Auditing Accountants in collaboration with CPA Australia "Building a successful career in the field of Accounting, Auditing and Finance", in collaboration with the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) organized an online seminar "Applying IFRS 1 in Vietnam", ... In addition, the Faculty also regularly sends lecturers to participate in many scientific conferences and seminars to update changes in accounting and audit training while helping lecturers access new teaching methods to improve the quality of training.

Seminar "Building a successful career in the field of Accounting, Auditing and Finance".

In addition to conferences, seminars, talks, the Faculty of Accounting - Audit also organized the contest "Future Accountants' Bravery". My Linh (Student of VNU15A) said: "The contest is an attractive academic playground, making a mark for students in Accounting - Auditing at the universities of economics in general and the Industrial University of Ho Chi Minh City, in particular. This is an opportunity to exchange contacts between our candidates and the actual working environment at the enterprise." Through the competition, the students could show their talent and personal bravery, as well as an opportunity for them to reevaluate the results of their academic training to prepare for their professional work later.

Variety of career opportunities after graduation

Emphasizing the career opportunities after graduation, Dr. Huynh Tan Dung - Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing said: "The development of the training program is parallel between theory and reality by many different methods, fully equipped with knowledge for students, so that accounting and auditing students can work immediately after graduation." He also emphasized that the “start-up" spirit is always permeated in each student of the Faculty, with the equiped skills self-develop and establish a career.

In addition, the Master of Accounting training program of the Faculty has also been recognized according to circular No. 04/2016/TT-BGDDT of the Ministry of Education and Training. Therefore, graduates can continue their graduate program with a lot of incentives for IUH alumni.

According to the annual survey, more than 95% of students of the Faculty of Accounting - Auditing have jobs within 6 months after graduation, thereby confirming the prestige of the Faculty in training high-quality human resources for the labor market.
