Entrepreneurship Science – Innovation Conference 2021 26-12-2021

In order to create and promote the spirit of innovative entrepreneurship in higher education institutions, on December 26, 2021, Industrial University of Hồ Chí Minh City organized an online workshop with the theme "Building an innovative startup ecosystem".

Attendees of the Science and Innovation Conference in 2021 were Mr. Phạm Hồng Quất – Director of The Department of Market Development and Science and Technology Enterprise, Professor. Nguyễn Hữu Đức - Hanoi National University; Mr. Vương Đức Tuấn - Deputy Director of The Southern Department of Science and Technology; Ms. Chu Vân Hải - Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Science and Technology; Mr. Đỗ Quốc Khánh - Chairman of Vietnam Association of Creative Workers; Đặng Thành Đạt - Deputy Director in charge of The Center for Knowledge Transfer and Startup Support - Hanoi National University; Assoc. Dr. Phan Tiến Dũng - Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

IUH representatives are Prof. Dr. Lê Văn Tán – Vice Rector, Prof. Dr. Đàm Sao Mai – Vice Rector, Dr. Nguyễn Xuân Hồng – Vice Rector along with the heads and deputy head of departments, offices, faculties and more than 200 lecturers and students.

Innovation Startup Science Conference - in 2021 has received more than 30 full-text scientific articles. Through the review process, 20 articles were accepted to be published in the Workshop Proceedings. Among these scientific works, the Scientific Committee of the Workshop selected the 05 best reports to present at the webinar.

The workshop heard relevant reports such as "Building innovation universities - Suggestions for Vietnam" by Prof. Dr. Nguyễn Hữu Đức, "Vietnam Innovation Startup Ecosystem Overview" by Phạm Hồng Quất,... Through the workshop, IUH hopes to work with universities and colleges across the country to shed more light on the impact of innovative start-up activities on the university, from promoting interdisciplinary student engagement activities; improve the ability to be self-employed and create jobs for learners; increase revenue transfer and commercialization of science and technology products; improved college ranking and other impacts.

Speaking at the conference, Assoc. Dr. Dam Sao Mai said: This workshop was organized with the desire to promote and further promote the participation of intellectuals, experts and entrepreneurs with innovative start-ups, it is necessary to learn more deeply the real needs of Vietnamese society and intellectuals when participating in activities, thereby developing and implementing policies to attract comprehensively and systematically, serving the development of society.
